Playing Piano - Learning Options

Regardless of your degree of passion for learning to play the piano - staring at those 88 keys and wondering how to get started can be a little daunting. To say the least! know I've "been there/done that/got the tee-shirt.

And because I do have the "tee-shirt of experience" I'd like to offer a few musical "gems" that hopefully get you started on the right foot. Or, in this case, the right keys!

Acorns to Oaks

type=textEveryone starts small. Green. And unexperienced. So, don't let that stop you from acheiving your dream. I did'nt - and now, i'm a professional pianist. As in - people pay me money to play!

So, while I'm obviously not the only piano pro in the World, I believe that I'm sufficiently qualified to throw you a few bones that should make your piano apprecticeship easier, faster, and much less boring than mine was.

The Bones

type=textBONE NO 1 - It needs to be FUN! Find an inspirational method.

BONE NO. 2 - There is NO ALTERNATIVE to regular practise. 15 minutes a day, every day, is better than 3 hours one day.

BONE NO. 3 - It's essential to develop your ear AND your ability to read music. If you only "play by ear", you miss the opportunity to play some great, more complex music. If you only read music, your ear will be a slow to no learner.( And you'll be up the creek if the music falls to the floor!)

The Good News

type=textFortunately for you, there are now many truly exciting and inspirational methods for learning to play piano that did'nt exist when I was a youngster
sliding all over those 88 keys.

After trying out the most popular of these, and including the feedback received from my students, the two that I've found to be the best are ROCKET PIANO and PIANO FOR ALL

Which one is best for you? Obviously, something only you can decide. So go check them out now. Choose the one that fits. START PLAYING!
