PLR

Buying PLR should be no light matter if it's going to be representing you online and trying to convert prospects into buyers. I want you to learn some of the most important elements of buying and using PLR to increase sales for your online business.

I'm going to teach you the following:

1. Who should be utilizing PLR in their business?

2. What types of PLR are available to you and what can you do with it?

3. When should you avoid using PLR to represent your business?

4. Where can you find the best PLR to buy that you can rely on?

5. Why can PLR serve you better than ghostwritten content?

6. How can you utilize the PLR to get the best return on your investment?

So let's get started! PLR isn't the dirty word it's been made out to be by some people. It's just content - and it's how you use it that makes all the difference in the world!

PLR

Who should be utilizing PLR in their business?

PLR is best for people who:

Have very little talent with writing.

Now PLR also comes in other formats besides text, so you could plug in "video creation, audio formats, or software creation" in the above sentence if you're going another route. But for our purposes here, we're talking about the most common kind - text-based content!

There are so many people who don't feel comfortable writing. Perhaps it's been awhile since they took a writing course, or maybe they never were good at it. Some people write too much like they're trying to get an A in English instead of connect to an online audience. PLR helps you solve this problem.

Have very little time for content creation.

Time is a big obstacle. Some of you are doing this part time and writing could consume every spare second you have! There are more important things for a marketer to focus on - like picking the right niche markets, developing a relationship with their audience, forming joint ventures with other formidable marketers, and so on.

Have very little money for outsourcing to GOOD ghostwriters.

Money is another hurdle for newer marketers. You want to invest your cash on things you may find crucial, like good graphics or a hardy keyword tool. PLR costs so little that it helps you afford a decent web presence without shelling out your entire monthly budget.

PLR

What types of PLR are available to you and what can you do with it?

When it comes to PLR content that's text-based, there's a whole variety for you to choose from. Let's go over each type and how it can help you build a stronger (and more profitable) business:

Articles

Articles are primarily used for article directories. If you buy PLR for this purpose, you have to be careful that you're the first one to use it, otherwise the directory won't accept it. You can always alter it completely, rewriting it as an easier method than writing from scratch. Articles provide important backlinks, promote you as an expert in your niche, and help pre-sell a prospect on whatever it is you're offering. Make sure you buy articles that are routinely over 400 words.

Blog Posts

Google and other search engines love blog posts. They're generally shorter than articles, ranging from 200-250 words or so. But they're done more often than articles. The more often you post, the more often Googlebots come to your site and see if there's anything new there. I like to change the title of PLR blog posts, write a new introduction, and personalize it a bit rather than leave it as is.

Reports

These PLR packages serve you well as an opt in freebie or as something viral you can release on the web. Convert it into a PDF file using Adobe once you've added your hyperlinks in it. Put it on a Squeeze page or give it as a gift that you allow others to pass along intact. These can help you build a list and if viral, make extra sales with a goodwill gesture.

eBooks

If you want an info product of your own (or maybe something on Kindle or Amazon?) then you can buy PLR eBooks to serve you well. You can change the title and author name as you like and keep the rest intact. You might add to or delete parts if you feel it's necessary. Some people use these packs to sell and others pair them with existing info products and offer them as bonus items. Just make sure you convert it into a PDF first.

Affiliate Reviews

If you want to promote other people's products, but don't know what to say about them, you can look for affiliate reviews that were created by a good PLR provider. These reviews can be placed in your email autoresponder, in blogs, etc. You want something to reflect your own voice, so be sure and alter it. For instance, if you buy a pack that's too hypey and that's not your style, edit it to your liking!

Sales Copy

If you buy an eBook PLR package, try to find some sales copy to go with it. Many don't include this. It's great because you can change lots of things about the sales copy to make yours unique - including the graphics! An entire minisite design is about $100 and you'll get the sales copy cheap, too - when unique sales copy can cost you anywhere from $50 per page to thousands!

PLR

When should you avoid using PLR to represent your business?

There are some times whenever I don't use PLR to represent my business. It's whenever you're truly wanting to convey your personal opinion. Opinion pieces can be posted on your blog or autoresponder or wherever, but it's your sole viewpoint on a situation and it's important to capture your voice.

Eventually, you'll become adept at taking a PLR piece and altering it on the fly to fit your personal style, but initially you may find it easier to just write from scratch.

PLR

Where can you find the best PLR to buy that you can rely on?

PLR is abundant on the web and most buyers actually find several sources they rely on. You're going to find different types of PLR sellers. Some will deliver content on a regular basis while others aren't so consistent.

Some will require a membership to their site while others let you grab and go at will.

Some sellers will have very strict rules while others are lax with their rules.

Some will cover a wide variety of niche topics and even take requests for PLR content while others stick to a narrow niche. Both are positive.

And perhaps most important - some will have GOOD content while others are a pure nightmare.

The good thing about this dilemma of who to buy from is that PLR is almost always CHEAP! So it's not like investing in some $97 course - you can spend 5 bucks and see what the quality is like. If you don't like it, make note of who you bought it from and try another PLR seller.

PLR

Why can PLR serve you better than ghostwritten content?

The biggest perks of choosing PLR over ghostwriting are these:

PLR is cheaper than ghostwritten content.

While a good ghostwriter charges anywhere from $10 per page to $30 per page, PLR comes to you at a mere $1 per page - and it's written by people who used to charge those expensive ghostwriter fees so the quality is the same!

PLR is already done.

Ghostwriters are notorious for being late with deliverables. They come up with excuses, fail to deliver what you asked for, and it can be hard to find a reliable person to create plenty of content on a regular basis. A ghostwriter can only put out so much content in a day - but you can scour the 'net and find tons of PLR in your niche and download it instantly!

How can you utilize the PLR to get the best return on your investment?

The best way to approach PLR is like this:

1. Find a quality provider in your niche (or who offers a variety of niche topics).

2. Gather an entire set of PLR content which includes: Articles, Reports, eBooks, Reviews, Blog Posts, Email Autoresponders, and Sales Copy.

3.) Take a bit of time proofreading and editing the content to suit your needs, adding your name as the author.

4.) Make sure you review the rules of the provider so that you don't do all this work in vain.

5.) Begin using the PLR online, but keep track of the results and feedback you get from Google Analytics and Google's Webmaster Tools. Are your sites ranking well? Could the content be tweaked even more?

6.) Start to analyze the return on your investment. Is the content converting in sales?

7.) Track new PLR coming out so that you can get a jumpstart on using the content against your competitors.
