Plus Size Jeans

I don't know about you but I used to find it a nightmare to find the correct fitting jeans. Why is it that so many manufacturers of clothes think that women who are plus size wear on shapeless clothes? Jeans were always too baggy around the waist or hip. If I got them to fit my curvy butt then there was a big gaping waistband at the back. If I chose some that I knew would fit my waist then I found that I couldn't pull them up over my thighs.

Being only 5'4" a lot of the jeans I tried on were way too long, however my friend who is almost 6' found it difficult to find jeans that were longer in the leg.

Well finally we have solved both our problems.
We measured our waist, hips and inside leg, and now take these measurements and a fabric tape measure out with us whenever we go shopping for jeans or any plus size pants. Yes we have occasionally got funny looks from store assistants but once we explain that we are checking the the measurements of the jeans before we drag a pile into the changing room they then just let us carry on. They probably think we are quite mad, but I hate trying on clothes and this cuts down on the whole disappointment thing in the changing room. You know what I mean, you adore something then go to try it on and it makes you look awful or it just plain doesn't fit, even though it is in your size!

I've also discovered that jeans with a yoke fit at the waistband fit my curves much better, as this allows the jeans to curve in to my waist at the back. No more gaping waistband...hurrah!

Straight leg jeans can look extremely flattering on curvy girls. To get the right fit choose plus size straight leg jeans which are wide through the hip, sit low on the waist. To balance out your figure always wear straight leg jeans with heels or a heeled boot. A fitted top or one that skims your waist and hip will also add to the slimming effect.

These style of jeans used to be my favorite, maybe it's just me but I just don't like the way that designers seem to be making the flare much bigger. Anything that has too wide a hem just makes me look shorter than I actually am.

Woohoo, at last colored skinny jeans for us curvy ladies. They look fantastic, so hot you will want a pair in every color. I've already bought 3 pairs, teal red, and funky purple. They look fabulous with high heel pumps, and I guess they would look cute with ballerina style pumps too. I'm too short to get away with wearing really flat shoes, so I stick to my heels. At last plus size clothing is really keeping up with the latest hot fashion. Fantastic plus size fashion for curvy divas!
