I'm a 38 year old plus size woman who simply adores her Right Fit Lane Bryant Jeans. You'll learn more about them and many other options!
Plus Size Denim
Denim has always been a love-hate relationship with me. But denim technology has changed over the years as have their styles. It use to be a plus size woman couldn't find a decent pair of denim jeans unless she went to the men's department. And we all know men are molded a little differently.
Curvy girls don't have to hide out in sweat pants and elastic waist pants. There are plus size jeans from a number of different online retailers. This lens highlights some of my favorite styles, telling you the options available and where you can get them.
Happy shopping!

Hip & Curves
Not just lingerie anymore...
I've never been a big fan of embellishments but they have a simple and understated pattern with just a hint of attitude.
They are also a comfortable price of $49.95. (free shipping in US on orders of $100). They can be found under Hips & Curves apparel section. Available sizes go from 1 X all the way up to 6x!
What I like about these jeans is that they are not overly dark or overly washed. Of course they have 3% spandex to give them a little stretch both for comfort and to give a bit of a comfie hug.

Kiyonna
Dressing up denim...
Kiyonna recently announced their new signature plus size jeans. From the six styles listed I think I like the Sanded ones the best. The color is listed as "put through the ringer" which is cute. They claim to have washed them like seven times to get their color and softness. These jeans are a cotton/spandex blend which seems to be the standard these days for a curvier fit. Of course they are machine washable.
These softies come at a designer price of $138. I'm unsure of the fit as they are listed in combo sizes like 14/16 or 30/32.

Fat Girl Books with Attitude
The Fat Girl's Guide to Life
"Vibrant, vivacious, and gorgeous, Wendy Shanker is a fat girl who has simply had enough-enough of family, friends, co-workers, women's magazines, even strangers on the street all trying (and failing) to make her thin. Written in Wendy's wonderfully funny and candid voice, The Fat Girl's Guide to Life provides thought-provoking insights, statistics, and body-image resources intended to restore a realistic standard of beauty and self-acceptance to the 68 percent of American women who wear a size 12 or larger. The Fat Girl's Guide to Life invites you to step off the scale and weigh the issues for yourself."

FAT!SO? : Because You Don't Have to Apologize for Your Size
"Being thin doesn't automatically equate with either health or happiness, the author reminds readers. She includes information from physicians, health experts, and medical journals to support her assertion that fitness contributes more to longevity than the "the f-word." The book, named after her Web site and her zine, is an engaging blend of fact and humor. Charts, graphics, photos ("visual counterpropaganda"), testimonials, quotes, ideas for sassy comebacks, and much more can help teens of all sizes reevaluate their view of the "flabulous." Fat! So? is irreverent and thought provoking, informative and fun."

Real Gorgeous: The Truth About Body and Beauty
"Kaz Cooke knew women needed a book that cut through the confusing and cruel messages about body image, beauty, eating disorders, diets, and cosmetic surgery. "Mostly, we needed a book that wasn't trying to sell us anything except self-confidence and the truth," says Cooke. "I couldn't find one so I had to write one." Written in the spirit of life, liberty, and the pursuit of body acceptance, Cooke playfully challenges some of the most oppressive misogynists of the 20th century: the beauty, fashion, and diet industries. Simultaneously funny and reassuring, Cooke boldly asserts her opinions and research on push-up bras (they dig and hurt), cellulite (it's a cosmetic company-induced condition, not a medical condition), and fashion models ("some of the most insecure, tortured souls around")."

Lane Bryant
Finding the right fit...
Last year Lane Bryant introduced it's Right Fit Jeans program and is what enticed me back into a pair of jeans. Specifically their Stretch Book Cut Medium Vintage Sandblast. When you visit the Right Fit Jeans section at Lane Bryant you'll be asked to choose from four styles of jeans: Stretch Classic, Stretch Bootcut, Stretch Flare, or Houston Pant. Bear in mind the style you pick will also affect how the jeans will fit. Once you pick a style you'll need to click on the link to figure it out your size. A new browser window will pop-up explaining the right fit process. At this point you will need a soft tape measure to get your waist and hip measurements. Waist measurement choices range from 34" - 52" and hip choice ranges are on a sliding scale of three options depending on the waist size you enter. When you're done entering the information press go and a Right Fit Size is given to you.
These jeans come in sizes 12 - 32 (but these numbers go out the window once you figure out your right fit size) for $39.50.
