Plush Stuffed Animals

Melissa & Doug is a hot-selling brand in the plush and puppets category. Melissa and Doug Plush Animals are the big and very realistic animals.

And I do mean BIG - the toy lion is 3 feet long - kids can easily sit on it. The plush stuffed giraffe is taller than most 3 year olds, and the plush penguin is so cute and cuddly that even my husband mentioned something about buying one.

The plush animals look very realistic, yet have something in them that makes them really cuddly. I don't know how the designers do it, but they turned a big scary plush tiger into a thing you want to cuddle up to.

Naturally, there are plenty of other animals you could select - perhaps to match the stories you child likes the most. You can choose a plush monkey, plush stuffed alligator - long and green, big plush zebra, or an elephant - which curiously enough is relatively small size - relative to the giraffe that is. It's still big enough that kids can sit down next to it and look it in the eye.

The sitting toy cheetah looks like it's ready to take off, while the plush tiger is lazily sitting, and waiting to be scratched behind the ear - kids can sit on it, or grab its neck and lie down on its back.
