Airedale Terrier
King of Terriers
The Airedale Terrier originates in Airedale, a geographic area in Yorkshire, England. It used to be called the "King of Terriers" before the creation of the even larger Black Russian Terrier. It was bred originally to hunt otters in and around the valleys of the River Aire which runs through Airedale. In England this breed has also been used as a police dog.

- It's true, none of the big toy companies seem to have plush Akitas. However, doing a bit research myself I came across kathyskreations.com, and they do offer 2 different stuffed Akita dogs. (look under "Canines" category). Apparently, they also make custom animals in very high quality. Hope this is what you're looking for. Good luck!
