- Jasmine Elder is the designer behind the label Jibri. With roots in Atlanta, NY and London; she started the design company Jibri (named after her fashion mentor and teenage friend) in 2006. Her Collection is dedicated to creating garments that focus on; fabulous fit and individuality for the fashion conscious, curvy woman. The label is a perfect combination of high fashion chic and urban, available in sizes 14-24.

- Qristyl Frazier is the founder of this Brooklyn, NY based fashion house and a featured designer for Season 6 of Project Runway. Qristyl plans on being the first Designer to totally and truly showcase a real "Plus Sexy Collection" at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week. Her specialty is feminine dress with alot of sex appeal, casually sophisticated separates, flattering swimsuits and versatile cover-ups in sizes 12 to 24.
- Darren Trentacosta
- Darren Trentacosta actually started his career in L.A. as a stylist then designing for a small group of women. It was from working on photo shoots as a stylist that he became fascinated by photography and the process behind it. Darren then persued fashion photography as a full time career, while also freelancing as a designer. "It was this dearth of choices for plus size women that eventually led Darren back to designing." He is the collective founder of Trentacosta, based in NY... that specializes in contemporary women's wear sizes 10w-24w that feature selective fabrics and details for a clean tailored fit. - I had the pleasure of meeting Anansa's mother, Super Model Beverly Johnson in 1975 in Atlanta, Georgia where she was modeling in a fashion show held at the Colony Square Hotel.
Excellent lens and useful resources for anyone interested in Plus Size models and their contributions to the beauty and fashion industries.
