When you are choosing a plus size swimsuit for a small bust look for swimwear that have padded cup liner to add a bit of extra dimension.

What's nice is that the holding power continues even when your suit is wet and isn't so tight that you feel as though you are wearing a girdle. They are actually quite comfortable and I find that they feel even more comfortable than a swim suit without it. Not sure why but it feels good on my lower back area.

If you are very self-conscious about your belly, lower back fat or love handles opt for a loose tankini or swimdress. With both of these you can sit comfortably without having to worry about bulge.

And also avoid solid colors if you are going with a tighter one-piece. A design or graphic print that confuses the eye a bit will not draw attention to the belly, while a solid color will. If you are planning on a tankini or swindress, then a solid color is fine.
