Regarding the August 31, 2011 Exam Changes

The Project Management Institute (PMI) recently announced that content on the Project Management Professional (PMP) Exam will be changing by 30% effective on Aug 31, 2011, based on the Role Delineation Study (RDS) conducted every five to seven years to ensure alignment between credential and the day-to-day work of project managers.

The PMBOK standard has not changed for the PMP certification exam. The only difference is that the Professional & Social Responsibility related questions will not be a unique domain for the new exam, instead the questions from this subject will be distributed into the other process groups.

So, the PMP certification requirements are still the same and candidates should continue to prepare with the current PMBOK study guide.
