Famous Pool Parties in Las Vegas

Every year, thousands of holidaymakers
and thrill-seekers head to Las Vegas, the self-appointed entertainment capital
of the world, for a break filled with hedonistic pursuits, luxurious hotels and
the most extravagant pool parties Nevada has to offer. Every hotel in Vegas
boasts a collection of huge pools, often able to accommodate thousands of
guests, and whilst there are plenty of quiet, relaxing areas for those who wish
to top up their tan and catch up with a good book, the real fun can be found at
the lively
Las Vegas pool parties which occur every day.

The Encore Beach Club Vegas pool party is modelled on the cool vibe often
found at European pool parties at some of the continent's famous holiday
hotspots. The 60,000 square feet devoted to poolside pursuits includes a
three-tiered pool, a water-front nightclub and a collection of two-storied
bungalows which feature hot tubs, air conditioning and views of the famous
Vegas strip. Cabanas are available to be hired, all complete with refrigerators
and flat-screen televisions, and for those who would prefer to keep out of the
blazing sun, a number of oversized lily-pads float in the shady areas for
relaxing and enjoying a drink.

The Travel Channel recently chose the
Hard Rock Hotel's pool area as one of the ten best in the world, so visitors to
Vegas would be mad to miss a pool party here. With live entertainment and DJs
performing every day, the adults-only pool area spans an incredible five acres
and is surrounded by sandy beaches and indulgent cabanas. Swim-up blackjack is
one of the highlights here, with partygoers able to try their luck whilst
sipping a refreshing drink in the aquamarine water. Every week on a Sunday, the
hotel hosts the
Rehab Las Vegas pool party, one of the city's most famous
parties, and not a night to be missed by any account.

The decadent outdoor playground at the
Palms Hotel plays host to the Ditch pool party, which is open from 11am until
dusk every day. The three bars are features to behold in themselves; the Glass
Bar is situated underneath a glass-bottomed pool, the Waterfall Bar is concealed
behind a surging waterfall, while the Entry Bar is perfectly placed with easy
access for all. For special celebrations, the bungalows for hire feature
king-sized beds, private bars and plasma televisions, and huge private
Jacuzzis. Accommodating up to 3,000 guests every day, the
Ditch Vegas pool party at the Palms Hotel is perfect to commemorate a birthday,
hen or stag party, and guests are guaranteed a day to remember.

Money-Off Coupons in Las Vegas

Everyone knows that Las Vegas is the
prime holiday destination for gambling, clubbing, partying and generally
splashing the cash. The city has become famous for its lavish spending,

more affordable than spending a night sitting at the blackjack table. With the
right
Las Vegas coupons, everyone can get to know Vegas'
hidden side, and perhaps appreciate it for more than the obvious glitz, glamour
and good times.

story from both sides; 'The Law' and 'The Mob'. The historic formal federal
building which is the setting for this interesting museum is situated near the
Las Vegas Freeway, and by using the
Las Vegas discount voucher on Pocket Vegas' website, visitors
are granted 10% off in the museum's extensive gift shop, which stocks t-shirts,
books and informative DVDs about the historic criminal underworld of downtown
Vegas.

After spending a day or two checking
out the less renowned but no less exciting experiences the city has to offer,
make us of the
Las Vegas money off deal at Brio Tuscan Grille, with their
Martini Wednesdays. All Martinis are just $5, with selections from their Tuscan
Tasting Bar Menu available for just £2.95 each - the perfect way to unwind and

Spring Dining in Las Vegas

Las Vegas is fast losing its tag as a city known specifically for hedonistic pursuits, gambling and showgirls. There is something for everyone in this bustling metropolis, and it should come as no big surprise that Las Vegas is fast becoming of the most highly-rated destinations for fine dining in the world, with Michelin-starred restaurants headed up by celebrity chefs in many of the biggest hotels. Spring dining will be more fabulous and mouth-watering than ever this year so choose your table with our pick of 2012's hottest restaurants%u2026

American Fish, Aria Resort and Casino: Seafood lovers can rejoice this Spring, at the opening of Michael Mina's new restaurant, American Fish. Located at the Aria Resort and Casino with chef Sven Mede at the helm, food is prepared here using four specialist techniques to bring out the incredible flavours from the fresh seafood. Through a combination of cast-iron griddling, wood grilling, ocean water poaching and salt baking, the food is carefully cooked to preserve the wonderful tastes that seafood lovers enjoy. All other produce is fresh and seasonal, and for those who perhaps don't enjoy seafood as much, there is a menu full of alternatives such as salads, sandwiches and even a salt-baked prime rib.

Brio Tuscan Grille: Heading to another corner of the globe, the Brio Tuscan Grille is an authentic Italian restaurant which serves all the traditional Italian dishes you may expect to find; Lasagna Bolognese al Forno, Margherita Flatbreads and the like. The beautiful interior is so original that it resembles a real Tuscan villa in the middle of the Nevada desert, and the chefs at Brio pride themselves on using their own organic and natural ingredients grown within the grounds, for a delectable taste customers will not be able to replicate.

Okada, Wynn Las Vegas: With food more and more resembling art these days, some chefs are creating a whole new dining experience by giving their food preparation the air of a performance. Star chef Devin Hashimoto is the head chef at Okada and his Japanese-style restaurant encourages all customers to marvel as their meals are prepared tableside, or at the bar, where food is grilled over charcoal and served on planks or skewers right there and then. The authentic sushi bar completes the traditional feel, while the indoor waterfall and lagoon adds to the relaxing Eastern atmosphere. The menu, whilst at the pricier end of the scale, is diverse and delicious and with the tableside performances, dinnertime is more of an event than ever.

Death Valley National Monument

Despite being known as one of the most inhospitable areas in the US, Death Valley offers an impressive landscape. Salt basins, sand dunes and mountain ridges adorn this forbidding land.  Going there well deserves a visit to Death Valley Junction, an old mining town and Bad Water, the lowest point in the Western Hemisphere, a reported 282 feet below sea level. Dante's peak also offers a stunning vista of the entire valley. For a real feel of the outdoors there are plenty of walking tours on offer at the Furnace Creek Visitor's Centre between the cooler months of November to April, however, visits to beautiful Scotty's Castle hidden in the Grapevine canyon run all year round.

Hence the name, Death Valley gets extremely hot in the summer months but whatever the time of year, be sure to do your research before you go and ensure you are well stocked with water, some snacks for the road and a map.

Valley of Fire State Park

Open from dawn until dusk and for only $6 per vehicle, the famous Valley of Fire is Nevada's oldest and largest state park and well worth a visit. Only 50 miles north and a one hour drive from Las Vegas, the Valley of Fire boasts an array of striking red sandstone formations. A haven for photographers and hikers be sure to visit Atlatl Rock, Arch Rock, Seven Sisters, the Cabins, White Domes and Mouse's Tank. Visitors may be also be tempted by dip at Roger Springs, one of several hot springs in the Nevada area. The park includes a camping ground, picnic area and a Visitor's Centre for more detailed information on available trails and rock climbing. All visitors are recommended to pass by the Visitor's Centre before making their way into the park.

Grand Canyon

Believe it or not the Grand Canyon is easily within a day's drive of Las Vegas. A breathtaking vista, the Grand Canyon is certainly worth an early morning start and a few hours spent on the road.  There are also plenty of activities available including horseback riding, hiking, rafting, guided visits to the Canyon Caverns and scenic airplane and helicopter tours when you get there. Why not make a stop also at the recently opened canyon skywalk at Grand Canyon West and then hit the historic route 66 on your way back to Las Vegas. Leaving Las Vegas

If you're planning your first trip to Las Vegas, your mind is no doubt full of images of luxuorious hotels, the casinos and the nightlife, a buzzing oasis in the middle of the Nevada dessert.  But, while you'll definitely want to explore all that the Strip has to offer - which means sipping a cocktail in the best Las Vegas bars and dancing the night away in a top Las Vegas club - you should also go native. There is now so much more to Las Vegas than meets the eye and if you are looking for something different to do with your day, take a leaf out of the locals book and head out of town for a couple of hours.

There is a lot about Las Vegas that people don't know and much more to Las Vegas than just the Strip. There's actually plenty to do in the Las Vegas area during the day, especially if you are feeling up for some fun and adventure, want to spread your wings and go a little further afield. Why not gather up family and friends and get ready for a road trip? Stock up with some snacks, soft drinks and sun cream and you're ready to hit the road%u2026

Rent a car and the world is literally your oyster. A beautiful 3 hrs drive out of town is the stunning Hoover Dam, a classic historical feat of engineering. Even if physics were never your favorite subject at school, the drive to the dam is fantastic and we defy you not to be stunned by the view.  The federal government operates both short tours and complete tours of the interior but double check times and prices before leaving the hotel.

Another 2.5 to 3 hours south along the Colorado River you will come across Lake Havasu City complete with the famous London Bridge brought to Lake Havasu from England. A popular holiday spot in its own right, there are plenty of fun tours to take including a flight in a bi-seater World War II plane. Not forgetting the water babies, there are also plenty of jet skies, boats, paddle boats and even kayaks for rent.

Not wanting to go quite so far? Then a mere 15 miles west of the hubbub of Las Vegas lays the

peaceful, scenic national park of Red Rock Canyon offering horse riding tours, jeep tours, hiking routes and photographic panoramic trails. Anyone that enjoys the great outdoors will not fail to enjoy the breathtaking views the Canyon has to offer.  If, however, horses and hiking not quite your thing, then making a pit stop at the Desert Tortoise Conservation Center or the Red Rock Visitor's Centre for a 13 mile scenic drive through the north part of the park.

If you fancy more of an aerial view of nature, point the car in the direction of Boulder City and Bootleg Canyon Park. A 30 minute drive from the heart of Las Vegas the Park is the starting point for Flightlines, the first ever ZipLine adventure in Nevada.  You'll soar over the desert landscape free as a bird and it's suitable for all the family.

Something for kids and big kids alike, the Las Vegas surrounding area offers a range of fun filled days out for both the adventurous and the not so adventurous.   Returning to Las Vegas exhausted but rewarded in your outdoor explorations why not splash out on a nighttime tour of the strip? Suitable for all the family or a romantic rendezvous, this is definitely an awe-inspiring tour worth working into the budget. For More Information Contact:

Luxury Wedding Venues in Las Vegas

There are many images which have become synonymous with Las Vegas; gambling, showgirls, extravagant hotels and more light bulbs than anywhere else in the world. One of the resounding images of Sin City is that of the drive-thru chapels, where ceremonies are conducted by priests dressed as Elvis and the Wedding Breakfast is a complimentary Pizza Hut buffet. Not all Vegas weddings are of the impromptu variety, however. The vast array of 5* hotels, Michelin-starred restaurants and decadent shopping malls have made Las Vegas one of the world's most sought-after wedding destinations.

The famous Four Seasons Hotel in Las Vegas is one of the most celebrated and acclaimed places to stay in the city. Many respected travel publications have rated this elegant hotel the best in its class. Whilst it may be smaller than many other hotels in Vegas (housing a modest 424 guestrooms), what it lacks in size, it makes up for in sheer luxury and opulence. The on-site wedding packages provided by the hotel make it an ideal venue for a classy and refined wedding ceremony, without an Elvis-priest in sight. Before the ceremony the bride can take advantage of the sprawling spa facilities, whilst the groom and his groomsmen can enjoy the outdoor pool. After the ceremony, guests can dine in one of the resort's two on-site restaurants and retire to their carefully designed rooms, with plush carpets and beautiful contemporary furnishings.

The Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino is located at the south end of the strip and is in perfect position to access everything Las Vegas has to offer. The stunning guestrooms feature minimalist décor and contemporary artwork to create a more boutique hotel experience, and all rooms feature 42-inch plasma screen televisions, stunning backlit headboards and stone vanities. The 'beach' at the Mandalay features almost 3 tonnes of real sand and is about as close to the real thing as it gets in the middle of the Nevada desert. Chefs such as Michael Mina, Alain Ducasse and Wolfgang Puck have all set up camp here, with cuisines ranging from Italian to Thai to American to French. Best of all, this beautiful hotel features three separate wedding chapels and has a specialist team of wedding coordinators to ensure the big day goes swimmingly.

The Venetian Hotel spoils guests for choice in every sense of the word, with ten fine dining restaurants on-site, nine casual eateries, a five-acre pool deck, four choices of evening entertainment (including Jersey Boys and Blue Man Group) and a wealth of shops and spa facilities. Wedding facilities are decorated in a stunning, authentic Italian style and parties of two or two hundred can be accommodated at this beautiful venue, named Best Luxury Hotel in 2009/2010 by Thomas Cook.

January In Las Vegas

Las Vegas is a city of many qualities; it is renowned especially for its hedonistic reputation, with the millions of square feet of casinos, bars and clubs doing nothing to dispel the rumors. But that isn't all Las Vegas is known for. Situated in the middle of the Nevada desert, there are some stunning natural landmarks just a short ride away from the city, and there is a growing number of artistic exhibitions and galleries popping up. Those looking to take a holiday to Vegas in January 2012 may enjoy taking a look at some of the other sights and attractions the city has to offer.

Las Vegas may not strike many people as a family holiday, but there are some excellent child-friendly attractions, the first of those being the Adventuredome Theme Park. Situated at Circus Circus Hotel, the five-acre theme park has rides for all age groups and is the perfect way to spend an hour, an afternoon or a whole day. For those real daredevils, a day pass is available allowing unlimited access to all rides, which include a traditional carousel and ferris wheel, as well as a Special FX 4D theatre and a laser arena. Recently included in the Vegas Review: Best Of Las Vegas Awards, Adventuredome was voted the 'best arcade' and 'best place to go if you're under 21'.

For those TV buffs visiting Vegas to get a glimpse of the city so often shown on many great shows and movies, a visit to the CBS Television Research Centre is a must. The free attraction inside the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino allows visitors to go behind the scenes at the TV station, picking up merchandise from their favorite shows and viewing one-of-a-kind memorabilia. There is even the opportunity to vote on never-seen-before pilot episodes of new shows; see which ones make it to the screen and which ones are canned thanks to your votes!

Also inside the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino is the wonderful lion habitat. The lion is famously the symbol of MGM, so it is a fitting (and free) attraction which allows visitors to get up, close and personal with the King of the Jungle. Feeding time takes place several times a day, with visitors able to watch if they should time it right. The habitat also contains lots of information about the majestic creatures behind the glass, who spend their time at a private ranch when they're not living up to their reputation as the icon of Metro Goldwyn Mayer.

Great Value Things to do in Las Vegas At New Years

Are you looking for a fantastic time in Las Vegas in the New Year but not sure where to go or what to see? Of course the lure of the casinos will be powerful and you may want to feed a few slot machines and play the tables but if you've splashed out over the holidays, you'll also need a few great value things to do. The great news is that Las Vegas has plenty so why not start the year as you mean to go on and explore Las Vegas, have fun and not break the bank?

There are a number of remarkable exhibitions on show in Las Vegas but one particularly worth seeing is Titanic at The Luxor. You wouldn't expect to find pieces of the Titanic laying around the desert but in actual fact, they're on permanent display, under the pyramid of the Luxor hotel. The spellbinding exhibition takes you on a journey from the construction of the Titanic to its first crossing of the Atlantic where it faced its tragic ending. The exhibition also includes recovered relics such as personal belongings of passengers and crew members of the ship, which were found over two miles beneath the Atlantic Ocean. To experience what it was like inside the Titanic, a full scale version of the Grand Staircase has been recreated for visitors and there is also a gigantic indoor iceberg that you can touch. It really is a worthwhile visit!

For those who are planning to visit Las Vegas with family, a trip to the Shark Reef Aquarium at the Mandalay Bay hotel is unmissable as it suits all ages. There you can expect to find a number of different sharks, along with endangered sea turtles, piranhas, golden crocodiles, jellyfish and many other fascinating sea creatures. Altogether, there are over 2000 animals to see at Shark Reef Aquarium, ensuring at least a tranquil few hours watching them around their massive tanks.

Going to Las Vegas doesn't mean you have to spend money on everything you see and do. If you take a stroll down the strip, you will come across the Bellagio hotel, where their enormous outdoor fountains will keep you entertained again and again.

The Bellagio fountains are choreographed to classic Vegas tunes such as 'Hey Big Spender'. The fountains run every 30 minutes and are something which really shouldn't be missed whilst in Vegas.

A visit to the Lion Habitat at the MGM Grand is also a must see, especially as it's free! You can expect to find these astonishing creatures in the heart of the hotel. Each day they are brought in for visitors to see them eat, play and groom themselves. It's another attraction which is suitable and fun for all ages.

With four venues in one, Pure Nightclub Las Vegas is one of the most dramatic and electrifying nightspots in Las Vegas. The atmosphere here is sleek and sexy, with white silks and couches in one room and rich, deep reds in another. Discover Food To Tempt Any Palette In Las Vegas

Las Vegas is known for many things; gambling, bright lights, luxury hotels and extravagance at every turn. It should come as no surprise, then, to learn that Vegas is fast becoming one of the the best 'foodie' destinations in the world, with a whole array of Michelin-starred restaurants and chefs. With specialty cuisines from every corner of the globe, there is something in Las Vegas for everyone where food is concerned, and catering to your taste buds' every whim has never been so easy.

Brio Tuscan Grille is a fine Italian restaurant, serving traditional dishes such as Lasagna Bolognese al Forno and Margherita Flatbreads. The stunning interior is created to resemble a beautiful Tuscan villa in the middle of the North American desert. Food is freshly prepared from Brio's own grounds with many organic and natural ingredients used in the preparation of their mouthwatering dishes. Thursday nights are Martini nights, where all Martinis cost just $5 , with other special offers on starters and appetizers throughout the week. For a little slice of "La Dolce Vita" without breaking the bank, Brio Tuscan Grille is 'perfetto'.

For more traditional cuisine, Craftsteak is unbeatable. The brainchild of celebrity chef Tom Colicchio, this high-quality steakhouse showcases farm-fresh flavours with seasonal sides and a 200-bottle collection of premium scotches and whiskies. At between $75 and $100 dollars for a 3-course meal, Craftsteak is right at the top end of the pricing skills, but not without just cause. Situated in the MGM Grand Hotel, the signature dishes such as lobster bisque and braised short ribs will have anyone's mouth watering sufficiently enough to reach for their credit card.

Some chefs have taken food preparation and turned it into an art form; one of these chefs being Devin Hashimoto, the head chef at Okada. The Japanese-style restaurant is surrounded by a shimmering waterfall and a lagoon, encouraging all customers and guests to enjoy a moment of Eastern tranquility in the middle of chaotic Vegas. Chefs prepare meals tableside as a performance, or at the Robatayaki bar food is grilled and served on skewers before your very eyes. A lively sushi bar completes the traditional feel, with both hot and cold plates available in an incredible diverse menu. With prices also hovering around $75 - $100 dollars, it is one of the more expensive restaurants in town, but for the tableside entertainment and the classic Japanese menu, it is worth it.

For those visiting Vegas on a budget, where better to dine than the famous Planet Hollywood? With extensive collections of Hollywood memorabilia to impress any film fan, Planet Hollywood's iconic chain started in New York in 1991 and has spread throughout the country due to its popularity. Award-winning burgers, exotic salads, pizza, pasta, fajitas and more classic favorites make up the basis of the menu, with something everyone can enjoy. With meals estimated at around $25 dollars, it's hard to go wrong at Planet Hollywood.

3* Hotels in Las Vegas

Vegas has traditionally been known as the city of decadence and luxury, with hedonistic pursuits and thrill-seeking top of the agenda for tourists. The phrase 'Sin City' bring to mind images of cash being frittered away in casinos, bottles of champagne worth the same amount as a small property and 5* hotels built upon every square inch. But a holiday to Vegas doesn't have to break the bank; in fact there are just as many 3* hotels in the gambling capital of the world. Choosing a mid range hotel is a smart move for  those on a budget as there's more cash left over to go towards enjoying the hundreds of Las Vegas attractions and shows.

The Las Vegas Hilton is located mere moments away from the bright lights of the Las Vegas Strip and is connected by a monorail for ultimate convenience. After recently undergoing a $100 million redesign, the Hilton Las Vegas has re-established itself as one of the biggest hotel names in Vegas, with it's spa, tennis courts, casino and theatre. The hotel is home to a number of restaurants, including the world's largest Benihana, with various different cuisines from all over the planet to be sampled. All rooms at the Las Vegas Hilton provide either a Strip, golf course or mountain view, so residents are guaranteed to be greeted with quite a sight each morning and every night. For the more spontaneous residents of the Hilton, there is even an on-site chapel performing wedding ceremonies named Le Bella Chapel.

The Hooters chain is one of the most well-known in the USA and their hotel in Las Vegas continues the theme of their restaurants. The Hooters Casino Hotel has a beachy, laid-back vibe that provides a welcome break from the lights of the Strip. Located near Madame Tussauds and just one block east of the Strip, Hooters is conveniently placed for both easy access to attractions and a more casual atmosphere. There is entertainment such as Purple Reign, a leading Prince tribute show, and many bars and restaurants to choose from, all in-keeping with the traditional Hooters theme.

For tourists who want to stay further away from the hustle and bustle, The Gold Coast Hotel can be found one mile west of the main Strip, with a free shuttle offered to and from the hotel. Many different dining options are offered and the hotel has a fitness suite for residents to work off some of the fresh seafood, steak and prime rib available at The Cortez Room. A 24-hour TGI Friday and a Ports O'Call buffet ensure that hungry guests are well catered for. Entertainment-wise, there is a 70-lane bowling alley, a video arcade and a 100,000 square foot casino which has slot machines with some of the highest limits around. Over 711 guestrooms provide luxury accommodation at one of the best value-for-money hotels in Vegas.

Luxury 5* Hotels With Pocket Vegas

Sin City, or Las Vegas as it is more commonly known, has become famous for many things. It's a place of hedonistic pursuit and impromptu drive-thru weddings where the thrill of gambling is rife and stars from all over the world compete to perform in one of the many prestigious residential shows. There are museums, restaurants, shopping malls and countless other attractions which could never be seen in just one day - which is why Las Vegas is home to some of the world's most famous and luxurious hotels.

One of the most iconic landmarks is the fabled Bellagio Hotel. Located on the Las Vegas strip, the Bellagio boasts an incredible array of activities and facilities for the residents of its 3,933 guest rooms. Relax and kick back in the luxury spa or enjoy a dip in one of 5 stunning pools. Choose from 7 bars for a cocktail or visit the on-site botanical gardens for some downtime. The Via Bellagio shopping arcade is a haven for fashionistas, with boutiques and brands like Gucci, Tiffany's and Chanel all finding a home here. The incomparable Cirque du Soleil also call the Bellagio home with their extravagant show 'O'. With all of these amazing attractions on one site, it is no wonder the Bellagio has become one of the most sought-after Las Vegas hotels.

Surely the single most famous hotel in Las Vegas must be Caesar's Palace. Home to a nightclub, a 4,300-seater theatre, a palatial pool area and countless eateries with Michelin stars, Caesar's combines the elegance and history of replica Roman architecture with the glamour and luxury of a top hotel. Previous residents at Caesar's include Tom Cruise, Marilyn Monroe, Oprah Winfrey and Elton John, so you can rest assured that you'll be in good company. Each guestroom has an LCD television, a jetted bath, a walk-in shower, luxurious linen sets and a seating area with chaise longues for relaxing after a hard day on the slots. Matt Goss and Celine Dion are currently residents at Caesar's, playing sell-out shows night after night to adoring crowds. If you're feeling spontaneous, there's also an on-site wedding chapel to make sure your stay at this decadent hotel is one you won't forget.

If you're looking for luxury away from the infamous Las Vegas Strip, Palms Place is a safe bet. With smooth hardwood floors complemented by marble and contemporary architecture, the quieter resort lacks none of the elegance and glamour of central Vegas. With restaurants galore, a state of the art theatre which has been host to acts like Bruno Mars and private entrances to all guestrooms, Palms Place prides itself on creating a 'home away from home' atmosphere for it's guests. Despite being away from the Strip, it is sufficiently connected to transport links to enable easy access to the other attractions Las Vegas has to offer.

A Very Vegas Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is arguably one of the events we most look forward to in the year. It's the perfect pre-cursor to Christmas and a great time to catch up with our nearest and dearest. But this year, rather than a typical dinner at home with all the worries and problems that come along with hosting such a big event, why not visit Vegas?

The city is, of course, known for its crazy party lifestyle - clubs, casinos and much, much more. However, there's a side of Las Vegas that really goes under the radar. Pocket Vegas Visitor Map & Guide is your definitive handbook to exploring every facet of Sin City, whether crazy or chilled.

Las Vegas boats theme park attractions galore with the Adventuredome at Circus Circus, which features its world-renowned rollercoaster, and the Big Shot at Stratosphere Hotel and Casino being particular favourites.  There are even skydiving opportunities, of both the extreme and indoor kind for thrill seekers wanting to mark the holiday with something extra special.

Don't forget the city's cultural exhibitions and attractions. The BODIES exhibition attracts people from all over the world. More than 200 actual human bodies are on display, carefully preserved to give visitors an insight into the human body.  If you like history, the Titanic exhibition is an absolute must - and certainly goes further into the tragic night the ship sank on its maiden voyage than any film or television series ever will. There are also a range of art collections in Vegas, which feature world-class pieces of work. Galleries include the Bellagio Gallery of Fine Art and the CityCenter Fine Art gallery.

Las Vegas will always be known for its casinos, clubs and hotels - but Pocket Vegas can also help you explore the city's hidden intricacies! Browse more Las Vegas attractions at Pocket Vegas Visitor Map & Guide Online at http://pocketvegasdeals.com

When you think of Vegas, it's probably a safe bet that the first things that spring to mind are casinos, luxury hotels and shows full of divas and drag queens. Sin City, one of the biggest tourist attractions in the United States, has become known for its bright lights, glitz and glamour, but there are some hidden attractions that you may not have known even existed, and they can be the cherry on the top of your indulgent Las Vegas holiday.

If you're looking for an afternoon of downtime after a hard night's gambling in one of Sin City's many casinos, the stunning Bellagio Conservatory and Gardens is a free Las Vegas attraction and has sometimes been called an oasis in the middle of the blistering Nevada desert. Enjoy Las Vegas' Biggest Shows With Pocket Vegas

Las Vegas, the original Sin City. One of North America's biggest tourist attractions, the Nevada hotspot has long been famed for it's casinos, bright lights, celebrity hotspots, luxury hotels and entertainment. Vegas has billed itself 'The Entertainment Capital Of The World' and it wouldn't be able to live up to this ambitious nametag without some of the shows and performances that are put on every single night. From illusionists to tribute acts, circus performers to great comedy, there is a Las Vegas show for everyone.

Probably the biggest name currently headlining her own show in Vegas is the legendary Celine Dion. With five Grammys and seven American Music Awards, amongst countless other accolades, the Canadian singer is one of the world's most successful female soloists and is currently in residence at the iconic Colosseum, Caeser's Palace. One of the best power-ballad singers of the generation, Celine Dion's electrifying show is packed from start to finish with her greatest singalong love songs, including My Heart Will Go On, Think Twice, The Power Of Love and Because You Loved Me. Tickets for the Celine Dion Las Vegas show begin at $117 and bookings are being taken right up to January 2012.

Jan Rouven's extraordinary Illusions, Las Vegas show is also proving to be a hot ticket on the Las Vegas show scene, with audiences witnessing some of the most dangerous stunts and illusions ever to be performed on stage. Set to a soundtrack of modern-day hits including Adele's Rolling In The Deep and ET by Katy Perry, German-born Rouven engulfs his audience in a show full of mystery and imagination at the FAME Theatre. If tribute acts are more your thing, Legends In Concert, Las Vegas is the longest-running celebrity tribute show in town. Perfect Your Putting In Las Vegas

When you imagine the destination for a golfing holiday, what springs to mind? Scotland - the 'home of golf' and location of the famous St Andrews? Hawaii - where there are more golf courses per acre than anywhere else in the world? Florida, where the sun always shines and the grass is always green? How about Las Vegas?

Whilst it may not be the first location that springs to mind when planning a golfing holiday, Las Vegas is gaining quite the reputation for its golf - there are at least as many golf courses as there are casinos! Whether you're a beginner looking for a simple course to get you started, or a seasoned professional searching for your next challenge, Vegas is home to some of the world's best courses and there will undoubtedly be a golf club to suit you.

Desert Pines Golf Club is just a few minutes from the infamous Vegas Strip, but occupies its own little tract of desert, tucked away in privacy. As the name might suggest, pine trees are a huge feature on the course, with more than 4,000 of them lining the greens and fairways. Half of the 18 magnificent holes feature a water element and the course can be enjoyed by players of all ages and abilities. Amenities at the club include a restaurant, a two-tier practice centre to perfect your putt and golf cart rental included in the course fee, so you can get from hole to hole with ease.

Golf course architect Rees Jones designed the Cascata Golf Course and it is largely agreed among experts that it is one of his finest designs to date. The visually stunning course is just a short drive away from The Strip in Boulder City is home to a 418-foot flowing waterfall cascading down the mountainside, making for a spectacular distraction - but the nuances and challenges along the course will soon catch your attention again. Sports Illustrated has called Cascata 'one of golf's hidden treasures' and it regularly tops 'favorite Las Vegas golf course' lists.

The Bali Hai Golf Course is a championship course located right on The Strip. With an Indonesian theme that sees the course embellished with tropical plants and water features, the course is a distraction from the hustle and bustle of Las Vegas, even though it is just a stone's throw from the casinos and shows of Sin City. Designer Brian Curley said, "We want to give guests an opportunity to loosen up and enjoy their surroundings before we begin challenging their skills." - which is why the holes get more difficult as the course goes on.

Get Your Fashion Fix In Las Vegas

With both New York and London Fashion Week coming to an end, and Milan soon to follow, you might be wondering where your next fashion fix is going to come from. The major fashion capitals of the world have had their say on next season's trends, so for a serious injection of style, consider a holiday to a world-famous shopping resort to pick up the gorgeous new designer looks and update your wardrobe.

While New York might be known for being the fashion hub of North America, Las Vegas is giving it a run for its money on the West Coast, with acres of Vegas shopping malls serving up the more luxurious in designer brands and the most convenient of high street retailers. The famous and iconic Via Bellagio is home to the shops every girl wants to shop at - Chanel, Dior, Gucci, Prada and Tiffany's. Whether you're splurging your hard-earned cash or window shopping to decide what you're going to spend your casino winnings on, this stunning landmark is home to various lustworthy boutiques and is sure to take the breath away.

An attraction as well as a shopping mall, The Grand Canal Shoppes is perhaps the most picturesque shopping location in all of Las Vegas. It bears an amazing likeness to Venice, with an exact replica of the cities' famous waterway and an array of shops, restaurants and even a nightclub. Luxury boutiques include Davidoff, Sephora and Hugo Boss, with celebrity chefs fronting eateries along the canal. Take a gondola ride to rest your feet between purchases or take in some of the daily performances put on in St Mark's Square to keep shoppers entertained while they mull over their next big buy.

No trip to Las Vegas would be complete without a visit to the iconic Caesar's Palace, and with a combination of high street and designer shops, The Forum is a great place to see the exclusive Burberry and Jimmy Choo rubbing shoulders with such high street brands as Abercrombie and Fitch and Gap. Not only does the impressive mall have 13 restaurants and a specially-constructed food court, The Forum also has an impressive array of speciality shops, whether you want to pick up some rhinestone-studded shoes or a bespoke crystal bookend. A recent extension saw 175,000 extra square footage added to the site, with extra levels and a spiral escalator twisting and curving towards a glass dome ceiling - the escalator is only the second of its kind in all of the United States.

Try A Las Vegas Attraction with A Difference At The Gun Store

What springs to mind when you think of Las Vegas? The bright lights of The Strip? Red or black in the casinos? Drive-thru weddings chapels? How about a shooting range?

Whilst not one of the more traditional pastimes enjoyed by visitors to Vegas, The Gun Store, a few miles east of the famous Las Vegas Strip, has been satisfying tourists' inner Rambo since 1988 and provides a safe environment for them to see what it's like to shoot a gun. The company has gone from strength to strength over the past two decades and is now one of the busiest attractions in Vegas. How does it work? You simply choose your firearm, (the most popular being the M16, the Dirty Harry, the M249 and the S.A.W), pick your targets and shoot on the secure range to your heart's content. As The Gun Store's Emily Miller says, "Come excited, come sober and have fun!"

What sets The Gun Store Las Vegas apart from other shooting ranges is that no experience is necessary - you just turn up and fire away. "In most places in the world these types of firearms are only permitted for military use and the fact that a touring civilian from another country is allowed to shoot an Uzi in our range is pretty incredible," says Emily Miller. Sound scary? It needn't be; The Gun Store has hands-on safety officers to walk you through every step of the process. Owner Bob Irwin is something of a firearm expert, holding certificates from the National Rifle Association, Nevada Peace Officer Standards and Training, the Nevada Attorney General's Office and the Utah Department of Public Safety - safety and security on his range is paramount for Bob.

If just turning up and shooting a gun isn't enough for you, The Gun Store offers plenty of other attractions to ensure your first visit won't be your last. The store does celebrity signings and regularly welcomes UFC fighters to the store for personal appearances - they're huge fans and The Gun Store sponsors a few fighters. In the past few months, the range has hosted Welterweight Fighter Jake Shields, "Big Black" of MTV's Fantasy Factory and UFC fighter Thiago "Pitbull" Alves, so if you time your visit right you may end up rubbing shoulders with the stars on the range. For anyone interested in getting an education in firearms, The Gun

Store also offers a free Concealed Firearm Permit Course, Firearm Safety courses and Ladies Self-Defense classes.

Currently in the middle of a huge range expansion to accommodate the crowds it attracts, The Gun Store will soon feature over 30 lanes, 2 VIP ranges and an even broader selection of newly acquired firearms to rent. "It's going to be amazing!" says Emily. "Look out for our grand re-opening events this fall."

Get Back To Nature With These Las Vegas Attractions

If you've ever been asked to picture a holiday in Las Vegas, the most striking image of this Nevada city, and the one most likely to spring to your mind, is that of The Strip. A vast 4.2-mile stretch of hotels, casinos and shopping malls, The Strip is undoubtedly the main attraction for the almost 40 million tourists travelling to Las Vegas each year. However, with an average of 300 sunny days in every year, and a whole wealth of other natural Las Vegas attractions away from the bright lights of The Strip, Las Vegas could prove to be a different holiday destination altogether...

The Grand Canyon

Situated just under 300 miles away from the clubs and casinos of Vegas is one of the Wonders of the Natural World. The Grand Canyon, a magnificent natural marvel, is 277 miles long, up to 18 miles wide and attracts up to 5 million visitors every year. Experience the Skywalk, a glass bridge that reaches over the edge of the Canyon or walk to Eagle Point for unforgettable panoramic views. You may decide to explore the depth of the Canyon with a helicopter ride, descending 4,000 feet to the base, where you can then board a boat for a trip down the Colorado River. Enjoy a sumptuous champagne picnic and catch a shuttle bus to the most popular photograph vantage points and capture the moment forever. An absolute must-see for anyone visiting the region, the Grand Canyon is a truly once-in-a-lifetime experience. Several Grand Canyon Day Trips from Las Vegas offer helicopter flights and combine the Canyon with a trip to the Hoover Dam. Others include treats like a Champagne breakfast and visit to the Wild West.

Las Vegas Planetarium & Observatory

From the ancestral rocks at the bottom of the canyon, to the stars in the night sky, Las Vegas Planetarium and Observatory offers sessions focusing on a variety of celestial objects depending on the time of year you visit, meaning that no two visits are the same. Gaze at the moon, stars, planets and other out-of-this-world phenomena, with this educational and family-friendly natural attraction.

Zoological Botanical Park

The modern Las Vegas is more child-friendly that it may at first seem. With 200 animals and plants, over 40 of them endangered species, the Las Vegas Zoological Botanical Park allows visitors to interact with the animals, with feeding stations for goats and birds. Home to lions, tigers and apes, the park is a great way to spend a 'back to nature' afternoon with the family.

Bootleg Canyon Flightlines

The first Las Vegas attraction of its kind, Bootleg Canyon Flightlines offers the chance to soar through the air like a bird on a zip-line from the top of Red Mountain in Bootleg Canyon, to the bottom. Get an aerial view of the popular nature facility that is Red Mountain whilst suspended in a para-gliding harness, also taking in Lake Mead and the Eldorado Valley. The entire package last for around 2.5 hours and is perfect for those who may be on a tight schedule, but who want to see more of the natural attractions outside of Vegas.

Las Vegas Neighbourhood Guide

Rising up from the desert and shimmering in the Nevada heat, the lights, sounds, colours and scale of Las Vegas is a dizzying mix that promises a helter-skelter experience from the minute you step off the plane. If you're new to Vegas - or even a seasoned visitor guilty of never leaving the convenience of the Strip - take a look at our neighbourhood guide. You're guaranteed to discover a side to Vegas that you've never seen before!

The Strip

Star of a million TV shows and darling of stage and screen, the Las Vegas Strip is arguably one of the most famous addresses in the World. Cutting through the heart of the desert in a kaleidoscope of colours, you can travel the globe, from Paris to New York, via Ancient Greece or Egypt and the canals of Venice without ever having to leave the Vegas city limits.

Most descriptions are orientated as being to the North or South of the Strip. The south, closest to the airport, is where you'll find the Mandalay Bar Resort and Casino and the pyramid of the Luxor hotel. At the North End sits the Stratosphere Hotel and Casino with its dizzying selection of daredevil base jumps, roller coasters and adventure sport experiences.

The three mile stretch boasts more hotel rooms than any other zip code on the planet and is jam packed end to end with things to see and do. You can calculate the walking distance between attractions with the interactive Pocket Vegas Visitor Map and Guide.

Fremont Street

If you have a hankering to hang with the Rat Pack or long to reminisce about the Las Vegas of the 30s and 40s, head downtime to Fremont Street. Many old Vegas landmarks have been destroyed to make room for bigger and better hotels and resorts but, you can still catch a glimpse of vintage Vegas around Fremont Street. If you're on a budget, many of the hotels in this area are cheaper than rooms on the Strip. The biggest attraction, no matter where you're staying, is the Fremont Street Experience, a canopy of lights that stretches 90 feet above a Pedestrian walkway.

Off-Strip

Many Las Vegas bars and Vegas attractions will be described as off-Strip. Hotels like The Orleans, Palace Station and the Hard Rock are also described as off-Strip. In reality, this means they're a short walk, bus or taxi ride away from the main street. Off-Strip also stretches north to south and generally runs behind both sides of the famous street.
