Afraid of Podcasting?
Lots of people are afraid of podcasting. There is this mystique that podcasting is techy. It really isn't.
After all this Old Bald Guy can do it.
Better yet most of the tools you need are free.
If you have a WordPress blog just add the Pod Press plugin.
You can edit your audios using a free tool called Audacity.
That makes it easy and best of all free. Try it you will find it really isn't that hard. You just need to as Nike says "Just Do It".
Podcasting is easy

If you use a WordPress blog, the plug-in pod press and have Audacity, you can easily have a podcast up in little time.
There are numerous free conference calls lines available which can allow you to interview somebody regardless of where they're at and get a free MP3 download. Take that MP3 and edit it with Audacity and you will have a podcast ready to upload.
You will need to get an FTP client so that you can upload the file easily especially as audio files can be quite sizable. There are a number of free FTP clients, so there is no extra cost involved, everything we've discussed so far is available for free online.
Posting your own WordPress blog with pod press and using Audacity to edit your MP3s is a very easy way to get your own podcast up and running.
Having a podcast on your blog will now allow you to submit your blog not only to the various RS as director he is thought to the various podcast directories to giving you even more chances to generate traffic back to your blog.

Thanks for the heads up on the link. Have never tried using the .au style as all of the major directories usuallyu use mp3 so have not looked at other file types. Posted September 09, 2008 |
