Get your pen ready
The thing about poetry is that you don't have to be Wordsworth to write poems. If you like jotting down a few lines and you like what you've written then that's all that really matters. Yes, you can be sure that the purists out there will knock you back, but so what at least your doing something creative and the more you can express youself in the written word, the better you become at communicating. Well that's my opinion anyway. Poetry really has no boundries, you can write about what ever you want to. So come on get your pen out and be creative. What are your words worth?
Inspiration
Treasure her memory (dedicated to Prince William and Prince Harry)
Memories are so preciousdon't ever let them fade
Hang her portrait in the brightest room
not hidden in the shade
Allow her smile to great you
every morning when you wake
Hear her voice encouraging
each new step that you take
And when you feel the need to hug her
breath the perfume that she wore
And you will be transported
to those loving arms once more
Maria
When happiness is hard to find or even out of sight
Just take a look around you, at all the things you've got
The little things that don't cost much, but add up to a lot
The love and warmth of family life
close friendships you can treasure
Fond memories of happy days
can bring you endless pleasure
So when life gets too much for you and the pressures are too great
And advice that someone gives to you is about a decade late
Just take the time to reflect, on all those happy times gone by
And you'll soon find those tears so sad, will turn to tears of joy
