The pokemonanime is based on the vedio game released by Nintendo in 1995 by Satoshi Tajiri ..it is the second most successful and lucrative video game-based media franchise in the world, behind only Nintendo's Mario series.


The pokemon anime follows the quest of the main character, ash ketchum Pokemon Master in training, as he and a small group of friends travel around the world of Pokemon along with their pokemon partners The first series begins with Ash's first day as a Pokémon trainer. His first Pokemon is a pikachu . . The series follows the storyline of the original games, Pokémon Red and Blue, in the region of Kanto. Accompanying Ash on his journeys are Brock, the Pewter City Gym Leader, and Misty, the youngest of the Gym Leader sisters from Cerulean City.

Pokémon: Adventures in the Orange Islands follows Ash's adventures in the Orange Islands, a place unique to the anime, and replaces Brock with Tracey Sketchit, an artist and "Pokémon watcher". The next series, based on the second generation of games, include Pokémon: Johto Journeys, Pokémon: Johto League Champions, and Pokémon: Master Quest, following the original trio of Ash, Brock, and Misty in the western Johto region. The saga continues in Pokémon: Advanced Generation, based on the third generation games. Ash and company travel to Hoenn, a southern region in the Pokémon World. Ash takes on the role of a teacher and mentor for a novice Pokémon trainer named May. Her brother Max..Brock soon catches up with Ash, but Misty has returned to Cerulean City to tend to her duties as a gym leader. The Advanced Generation concludes with the Battle Frontier saga, based on the Emerald version and including aspects of FireRed and LeafGreen. The most recent series is the Diamond and Pearl series, with Max leaving to pick his starter Pokémon, and May going to the Grand Festival in Johto. Ash, Brock and a new companion named Dawn travel through the region of Sinnoh. The series was released in the US in a special hour block on April 20, 2007.

In addition to the TV series, pokemon properties have been merchandised into , manga, trading cards, toys, books, and other media. The franchise celebrated its tenth anniversary on 27 February, 2006

 

Sarah Natochenny(ash) :)- is an American theater and voice actress. She is currently voicing the lead role of Ash Ketchum in the Pokémon USA/DuArt Film and Video English dubbing of the Pokémon anime metaseries, which started airing on Cartoon Network September 8, 2006. She also voiced Medicham and the baby Kangaskhan on the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Team Go-Getters Out Of The Gate! special that aired the same night. Sarah also has voiced the lead role Alicia on the Xbox 360 videogame Bullet Witch, released on February 27, 2007. In addition to her voice acting work, she played the head rose in a 2003 school production of Alice's -Adventures in Wonderland and Bottom in a 2004 school production of William Shakespere's A Midsummer Night's Dream

He teaches voice-over technique and has a home studio that allows him to send his work anywhere in the world. .jimmy Zoppi(profeser oak , james , gary ,oak )) is an American bassist, vocalist, and voice-over artist. He has been playing with bands since high school and has been a bassist and vocalist of the Carter Cathcart Band since 1981. Zoppi's first voiceover part was O.G. Readmore on the ABC Weekend Special. After that, he recorded voice overs for Kit Kat candy bars, Good Humor, Coors Light, and others. Jimmy Zoppi later auditioned and got several roles in the then-unknown Pokémon series and has since become known for a prolific amount of anime dub voice work for Central Park Media, Media Blasters, TAJ Productions, and was sometimes known to lend his voice to 4Kids Entertainment, until an episode of Sonic X where he performed the voice of Vector, afterwards he hardly ever starred in a 4Kids Based series

Eric Stuart(James) (Born October 18, 1967 in Brooklyn, New York), is a singer and a voice actor.
Stuart is the lead singer of his own band, the Eric Stuart Band (sometimes abbreviated as ESB). He also performs the English-language voices of several anime characters, most notably Brock and James in the 4Kids dub of Pokémon and Seto Kaiba in the second series Yu-Gi-Oh! anime (Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters in Japan) and as the idiot savant swordsman Gourry Gabriev in Slayers.

 

 

The Pokemon Trading Card Game is a collectible card game similar in goal to a Pokemon battle in the video game series. Players use Pokemon cards, with individual strengths and weaknesses, in an attempt to defeat their opponent by "knocking out" his or her Pokemon cards.The game was first published in North America by Wizards of the Coast in 1999. However, with the release of Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire Game Boy Advance video games, Nintendo USA took back the card game from Wizards of the Coast and started publishing the cards themselves.The Expedition expansion introduced the Pokemon-e Trading Card Game, the cards in which (for the most part) were compatible with the Nintendo e-Reader. Nintendo discontinued its production of e-Reader compatible cards with the release of EX fire red & leaf green. In 1998, Nintendo released a Game Boy Color version of the trading card game in Japan. It was also released in the US and Europe in 2000. This game included digital versions cards from the original set of cards and the first two expansions (Jungle and Fossil), but also included several cards exclusive to the game. A sequel circled around the internet, going as far as info and screen shots, but it was confirmed to be fake.
