Keep checking back for continuous updates!

#1 Poker X Factor

I will post ONE poker resource a day for the next 10 days. I hope you will all learn something from what i have to teach.

#1 Poker X Factor

Instructional videos that have very visible improvements. This site is dedicated to bringing you videos on all style of Poker play. Each video has a running commentary from a professional poker player - some who have made HUNDREDS of THOUSANDS of dollars.

This site does come at a cost but at just $25 a month it's a real bargain. They bring out at least 2 videos a week with incredible detail. This kind of advice will turn a losing player into a winning player and a winning player into a professional.

Go check out some of their free teaser videos.

#2 Poker Savvy

#2 Poker Savvy

The lesser known of the two instructional poker video sites but by no means worse.
The site consists of several different pros - a lot of them in their 20s.

They demonstrate not only the ocasional low staked freezeout/rebuy/cash game but also stakes including $50/$100 HU Cash games! Some seriously great advice and poker theory here that you would quite simply not have come across before... ever!

Again, there is a monthly subscription of around $20. Another great site which differs enough from www.pokerxfactor.com to make it worth while joining.">

#3 The Hendon Mob

#3 The Hendon Mob

Away from the instructional video sites and onto less informative but still highly useful forum sites.

This site was started up by a group of very successful poker players. They pride themselves on having an indepth knowledge of the game and helping you guys to learn it!

The website contains a giant forum where people get together and discuss poker strategy with advanced levels of detail. Discuss all poker related topics here and just go there for a chat if you're fed up of the game!

Not only do they boast a great forum, but they have Articles written by the pros themsleves, beginners guide, a blog, bonuses and even an odds calculator!

Definately one of the best online poker resources out there!

#4 2+2

#4 TwoPlusTwo

Most commonly known for being a forum and attracting some of the biggest players out there. The site has everything from Omaha H/L to Heads Up NLHE to book sales and poker casts! The site also boasts a magazine and a poker store.

What makes this site so good is the sheer volume of experienced players that they have in their forums. You WILL learn a HELL of a lot about poker on this site so definately worth checking out.">

#5 Poker Tracker

#5 Poker Tracker

This is truely one of the best and well respected 3rd party programs that you can use while playing poker to track ALL your opponents that you play with including yourself. The site is currently releasing a brand new version PT3 which looks to be brilliant just check it out through the link.

What makes pokertracker so great is that it can THOROUGHLY improve your game. It will record every hand you play, cash or tournament and can play the hand back to you if you wish. It will tell you how much you won/lost on a hand; what hands you play in what positions; what hands win/lose you money; what positions win/lose you money; your Preflop Raise %; your Aggression Factor .... the list goes on forever. Truely some great software, you can store hundreds of thousands of hands on PT to give you a VERY clear idea of your game. Recommended for all avid poker players or ones that just want to learn.

At a cheap price of just a $50 one off payment, no poker player can go wrong buying this excellent software.

#6 Poker Office

#6 Poker Office

PokerOffice is much more than just a poker odds calculator and poker software. It is the most sophisticated poker software tool on the market for Online Texas Hold'em Poker. PokerOffice allows you to track all of your opponent's actions as well as your own poker game while you are playing, without any need for hand histories or user input.

PokerOffice comes with an overlay display that shows players betting patterns and statistics. Unlike PokerTracker it is integrated into the software, you need to download GameTime+ (for free) for PokerTracker.

The one thing PokerOffice has that PokerTracker doesn't is a hand replayer that can replay an entire tournament so that you can analyse your play.

#7 Poker Forums.org

#7 PokerForums.org

Back to the forums and away from poker software. In place 7 we have pokerforums.org which is another one of the biggest poker forum sites out there. The site always has 50+ people online and a lot of them are extremely experienced and very profitable poker players. If you ever need help analysing a hand they have sections dedicated to ring game and tournament hand analysis.

The site also offers some great rakeback deals if you sign up with poker companies through them. One poker company offers up to 75% rakeback!!

There is also plenty of poker news, articles and reviews to be read. Another great poker forum.

#8 Eat My Stack

#8 Eat My Stack

This site's querky and cartoonish style really does attract attention. You'll notice on the site that it contains everything a good site should have. It is created by a British group and is ran by a couple of professional players who present poker broadcasts on Sky Digital.

There are articles, blogs, forums and even leagues to check out here. Winning leagues or tournaments through the site even gets yourself a medal in your forum avatar along with cash prizes!

The forums also have a video section where you can submitt your own tournament hand histories that you have recorded. Here those hand histories can be analysed and criticised by other professionals and beginners in the forums.

#9 CardsChat

#9 CardsChat

CardsChat is much like any other forum. The site has a huge amount (39,000) of members and has just a few topic forums within the site. The simplicity of the site makes it very easy to use and offers some great knowledge from other players.

The site also has its own bonus offers with certain affiliated site giving you a %100 bonus on a $50 deposit at PokerStars.

There is a strategy section with an extensive selection of professionally written articles to provide more information about poker than you could possibly wish for. Overall, the site is simple and effective.

Sport

JasonB25 says:

Sport, it's a game of knowledge and cunning.

Pates says:

You see familiar faces at the final tables of massive events. Surely they're not just incredibly lucky? Although the way I've been running, I'll need to be lucky to win when I'm 90% favourite.

Gamble

CeemooreStuff says:

I will go against the grain and go with gamble. Definition of sport is an active diversion requiring physical exertion and competition. Don't get me wrong poker is a game of skills, but is not a sport, thus I look at poker as a competitive game. One more thing there is plethora of luck involve with poker. Look at the World Series of Poker Main Event after the entrants ballooned to record numbers for example.I think the true skill is in the cash game, because you are really playing with your money.
