Fire & Police Chaplains: Ministry on Hell's Doorstep

Ranked #10,295 in Culture & Society, #206,088 overall

So you're interested in ministry on hell's doorstep?

The uniformed men and women who work in our police and fire departments see life at its very worst: human tragedy, violence, destruction, terrorism, criminal mayhem, and a host of other scenarios that few others ever face. It's an everyday occurence and it's more stress, mixed with a special sense of reward, than most of us could handle. Which is why chaplains are an integral part of these hero's lives.

I serve as a volunteer chaplain with the Church of England branch office here in the states. The office in which is my HQ is located in the Commonwealth of the UK & is known as the Royal Lay Chaplaincy Corps, which is a small reserve branch of the Royal Army Medical Corps. I initially wished to serve as a full-time, regular chaplain, but at the time I had no college education & therefore only wanted to see what involved the ministry. I had the benefit to see the (RLCC) in the UK. I actually don't even remember how I found the organization. As time passed, I did more & more research & even came across this website of which I have read & learned a little more about becoming a full-time chaplain, if I wish to do so.

Thank you for posting this site.
    Regards,

    Joseph Freas, Cpl.
