My Pollyanna Woes
Once upon a time I was sad to discover that the domain name, www.pollyanna.com, was taken. I had intended to make a simple page with my Top 3 Reasons to Be Glad. I also thought it would make a great tshirt -- with www.pollyanna.com on the front and my Top 3 Reasons to Be Glad on the back. Alas, 'twas not to be.
But now, I can be glad for this opportunity to make a whole lens devoted to Pollyanna and the Glad Game. Many of you can hardly contain your excitement, I know.
This was, in fact, the topic of the first post of my first blog, Nonsensical Sunshine

The theme of fuzzy stuffed bear and Pollyanna Meets Frankenstein reminded me of a great movie short, Bambi Meets Godzilla. That made me smile. Fun lens, thanks. Posted July 08, 2008 |

The poll made me laugh. "A fuzzy stuffed bear," or "Ripping apart a fuzzy stuffed bear." There are probably days when the latter would be tempting. :) Posted May 13, 2008 |

I agree with Abraham Lincoln but those folks that make up their minds to be happy seem to be getting fewer and fewer. Posted May 06, 2008 |
From Pollyanna Grows Up
"Glad-glad-glad! Of course you're glad, Pollyanna. You're always glad for everything. I never saw such a girl. Oh, yes, I know it's the game," she went on, in answer to the look that came to Pollyanna's face. "And it's a very good game, too; but I think you carry it altogether too far. This eternal doctrine of 'it might be worse' has got on my nerves, Pollyanna. Honestly, it would be a real relief if you wouldn't be glad for something, some time!"
