Parents of Missing Kids

Making a difference

Many Parents of abducted kids have made a difference. The Parents are not the victims. The children are the victims but parents suffer because their child suffers. John and Reve Walsh have made a big difference in helping missing kids. John spends more time in the front line and on television where Reve spends time behind the scene. I have seen Reve speak at a LEACH (Law Enforcement against child harm) program. She is just as committed as John Walsh. Some people have criticized and accused him of cashing in or exploiting his son Adams misfortune but that is not the case. After Adam was murdered John did not want to do anything, even work. John find out shortly that the Power Company and the Water Company will cut off your power and water, if you do not pay your bills. They want leave them on just because your son was abducted and murdered. People will never know all the things the Walsh's have done.

Colleen Nick and Patty Wetterling have also done their part. Both of their children were abducted and have never been seen again. The unknown is the worst but both parents will never give up and pray that their child will be brought home safely. Visit www.morgannick.com/ and www.jwf.org for more information on these kids. The more people who know the better so please help them spread the news. Take a look at these two missing kids and report anything suspicious in your neighborhood.

Marc Klaas has done a lot to help, too. By educating Law Enforcement Officails. I know many people have done some great things and need to be recognized. These are just some of the parents I came into contact with and we all hope this never happens again.

About Retired-Cop

I am Retired from Law Enforcement after spending 24.5 years. I was with the Broward Sheriff's Office for 16 years and prior to that I was with the City of Deerfield Beach Police Department for 8.5 years. I was the Sexual Predator Coordinator for Broward County for over 5 years. The Last 8 years I worked in the Broward County Sheriff's Office Career Criminal Unit. I was the Supervisor of this Unit for 2 years. I was the Broward County Sheriff's Office, Detective of the year in 2002.  I was on Americas Most Wanted on two different occasions. I enjoyed working in Law Enforcement all those years and have been retired for over 3 years. I spoke at many schools and facilities about the dangers of Sexual Predators and trained many children on how to protect themselves.
