This was the first child that I can remember ever vanishing without a trace, Adam Walsh. It was July 1981 and a 6-year-old boy became missing in Hollywood, Broward County, Fl. Hollywood is in the south end of the county.
I was in the north end of Broward County working in Deerfield Beach Florida. I had been a Police Officer for two years when we received the BOLO (Be on Look out) for a small six-year-old boy missing from the Hollywood Mall. A brief description and that was it.
I had a six-month-old child at home and couldn't imagine what the parents of that child were going through. Not knowing or understanding, Why? We were Praying and hoping that Adam would be found alive. Wondering where he was, wondering if he would be OK, Just the unknown terrifies everyone.
Later on, (seemed like weeks later) The Hollywood Police Department put out a BOLO for a van. Many Vans were stopped by Law Enforcement including by me. I searched and questioned a driver who stated he had never heard of the Adam Walsh Case. I found that hard to believe and reported him to the Hollywood Police Hot line.
About a month later they found the head of Adam Walsh in a canal in Vero Beach off of the Florida Turnpike. Now this became a nightmare. Who could do such a thing? What kind of a monster would do this to a child? One thing for sure a monster committed this act. The worst thing was, this was a child. It is not the will of God for anything bad to ever happen to a child. When it does Jesus reaches out and pulls that child into God's Kingdom, no questions asked. The Kingdom of God is made for children. Every Child will be a Prince or a Princess in God's Kingdom.

The Parents of Adam Walsh can not bring Adam back but if they live a righteous life through Jesus Christ, one day they can go and live with Adam.

God's Kingdom is not of this world, it is a world to come. Thy Kingdom Come. God will wipe away every tear from the face of this earth.

John Walsh has made his life's work helping other people. John has received many death threats from convicts who do not approve of the work John has done. I feel Fox or another network should have a show just on missing kids, helping parents find their children would be a big success and I believe people would watch it like just like America's Most Wanted. "Tears of Rage" is the book about Adam Walsh, written by John Walsh. John wrote everything as it happen to share with the world, what they had and did not have back in 1981 when Adam became missing. John told everything has it happen. It is a book worth reading.
