My best friend in the whole entire world is an angel, named Janet.
Janet used to be here with us. I could call her on the phone, hear her laugh and her voice. I could hold her hand, give her a HUGE hug, go shopping with her, drive around town... anything.
One day, my best friend became an angel.
It was one of the saddest, hardest days of my young life.
Since she became an angel though, I've found some good things about having a best friend angel.
I can talk to her whenever I want! Sometimes I look to the sky when I talk to her, other times at pictures of her smiling face. When I don't want to talk outloud, sometimes I just think what I want to say to her in my thoughts...and I know she hears me.
Sure, I can't hear her voice when she talks back to me. But I know she responds. The wind blows, and I feel her brushing by me. All of a sudden, I just know the answer to a question. And I know my best friend angel Janet gave me the answer.
No, I can't hug her anymore... but I still see her--in my dreams! I can't control when I see her, or even if I remember the whole dream. But I know that when I dream about her, it's Janet coming to see me while I sleep.
She's even my guardian angel, too. Everyone has a guardian angel, but mine is my best friend. She knows what's best for me...she always has. She helps me every day in life, guiding me from one thing to another.
It is a lot harder having a best friend angel than a best friend on Earth. But since she can't be here with me physically anymore, I decided to find all the good things about having a best friend angel. And I found, that there are some perks.
I miss her every single day of my life, and think about her all the time. But it's always comforting to know that my best friend is now my best friend angel, watching, guiding and helping me every day.
