Top 10 Reasons You Should Attend Polo for Paws

October 24th will be here before you know it. And you know what that means! The cold, dreary, winter weather won't be far behind.

In Texas, it is either hot or cold. There aren't many really glorious days but when we have them, they are usually in October. So get out of the house, get out to the country and enjoy an experience you and your kids will remember forever.

Bring your own lawn chairs and picnic. Share with people around you. Make new friends. Enjoy the match. We will be giving prizes for best tailgate spread so get creative. Let your inner Martha Stewart run wild. Let's see what you've got!

Polo is a great entertainment value. Spend an entire day watching a cool sporting event ... for a pittance. Just $15 per person. Kids under 12 get in free. And it's for a great cause. What more could you want?

People often ask, "How does someone learn to play polo?" This is how. They see it and think, "Hey! I'd like to try that."

The Dallas Polo Club has started hundreds of players in polo over the years. It is one of the oldest polo schools in the area.

If you would like to climb aboard one of our gentle giants and see what it is like to take a swing at a polo ball, be at the arena at 12:30. We will get you up on a horse, explain the basics and let you see how you like it.

The DFW Humane Society of Irving will have pets available for adoption all day at Polo for Paws. To see some of the pets that might be in attendance, you can visit DFW Humane Society website to find a new friend you can give a forever home.

The player parade will be led by local classic cars. At halftime, fresh off their performance at the State Fair, we will feature T.C. Cappel and her dancing dogs. There will also be an exhibition of flying frisbee dogs.

We will have a fabulous photographer, Lisa Barnes of Bragging Rights Photography wandering the sidelines taking photos of the players, the game and the crowd. All photos will be available for purchase.
