Are you a polyhistor?

 

Are you a polyhistor ? I sure am. I have many talents and a wide pool of knowledge. Some of it trivial I must admit (I am the QuizQueen) but some of it very serious as well.

However now I find that there are actually many different titles that apply to me and I'm at a loss to determine just which is the best to apply. Perhaps you can help me decide after you learn more about just what being a polyhistor means!

What is a polyhistor? 

A polyhistor is someone of great erudition: having a knowledge spanning many fields. The definition includes both having an expertise level knowledge in various fields and a merely general knowledge. Arguably a polyhistor is but one possible type of polymath. See the article polymath for a broader discussion.
