What we're about-
Polymer Clay Productions
Ilysa and Kira are founding members of the Polymer Clay Artists Guild of Etsy.com- PCAGOE, found at www.pcagoe.com. Ilysa started the guild as an Etsy Street Team, a group that helps get the word out about Etsy. Kira joined on as the group's webmaster. After working together for a couple of months on the guild start-up, they decided to start a podcast and videocast that would revolutionize the way interested crafters could learn about polymer clay- online, through a public radio and tv show.
We understand that some folks learn better from a video demo than with articles or books, so we decided to take the whole gig up a notch and provide quality video demos on popular techniques, so the 10-minute demo was born. Every other Friday you can watch a short video intended to de-mystify the techniques and tools that we love to use with polymer clay, and on the Fridays in-between, you can listen to our talk show during which we interview popular polymer clay artists, review books and magazine articles on the subject, and give you the latest and greatest news about polymer clay. We have been invited to two CHA shows as press, and most recently, the Orlando Area Polymer Clay Guild is hosting us at the Orlando Clay Fandango- their annual clay-play retreat which we are very much looking forward to telling you all about. They even have a couple of open spots left for latecomers- www.oapcg.com. This coming March 2009, they will have 5 teachers on two different tracks- it's a not-to-miss opportunity, on the sunny coast of South Florida. So get away during winter, and come play with clay on the beach!
We are ready for, and seeking, corporate sponsorships. Want to see your product demo'd on our show and archived for viewers for years to come? Just contact us a polymerclaypodcast@yahoo.com and we will work something out with you.
We welcome feedback and suggestions from our audience, so please always feel free to contact us.
We also have two other websites where you can learn more about polymer clay, and other crafts. The first is called polymerclayclassroom.com, where you can watch right on your computer a dvd-style project. Instead of buying a dvd with only a few projects, you subscribe to the site- and get access to them all. There are currently over 30 projects to view, and we add two completely new ones each month!
www.Craftedonline.com has been the product of a desire to see more exposure for ourselves and other artists who work in different crafts, to sell their expertise. You can purchase e-books, downloadable pdf tutorials, collage images, original patterns for sewing, knitting, crochet, and embroidery. You can learn a new craft everyday. We currently have over 300 lessons on that site! Do you sell your talents? Come to the site and check out the teach here page.
