How do can you encourage kids to eat them?
  • LeanneChesser Oct 7, 2010 @ 7:03 am | delete
My kids love pomegranates, so I'm not sure I have any good advice for you. I just gave it to them and they ate it :). You could try adding some pomegranate arils to some other fruit that they like (make a fruit salad type of thing) and introduce it that way.

  • drifter0658 Sep 11, 2010 @ 9:17 pm | delete
Pomegranate is a wonderful fruit. Just recently, I was turned onto a pomegranate Martini and I have to say that I loved it; even more than the chocotinis, and I am the world's largest chocoholic.

The images on this lens are....well...tantalizing to say the least.
  • SereneSea Sep 11, 2010 @ 10:20 am | delete

I love pomegranite in my fruit salad and I love pomegranate juice. Sadly it won't fruit here in England, but I love to pick it fresh from the garden when I am in Southern France, where it grows without a care. Your lens is mouth watering.

I drink pomegranate cranberry juice all the time. I bought an actual pomegranate once, but it was fairly hard to get out all of the seeds/pulp to eat. It was really good, but I would've been there all day. Interesting, nice work, Squid Angel blessed!
  • GonnaFly Sep 27, 2009 @ 1:04 am | delete

Superb lens! A neighbor of ours had a tree right next to the back of their house in a little out-of-the-way spot. We'd sit in the shade and eat theses little treasures. Very good memory, there. Thank you! I appreciate this great resource all about pomegranates.
  • Bradshaw Apr 24, 2009 @ 4:10 pm | delete
I luv pomegranite juice! Just about any fruit is good (and good for you), but I'm a late convert to the benefits of the pomegranite. They always seemed so exotic, but I finally worked up the gumption to try some and yum, yum, yum. Mouth-watering aroma and a tasty treat.
  • juliezowaski Apr 22, 2009 @ 7:55 am | delete
I didn't realize there was so much to learn about a pomegranate. Nice lens. Very imformative. Thanks for the critique of my lens. Julie

I love pomegranates, and pomegranate juice - so I absolutely love this lens as well. I had no idea that pomegranantes could be so interesting. I also like that you have passed on the health benefits about this wonderful fruit. Most people still don't get it - when their Dr. says eat more fruits & veggies, it really will make such a big difference in their health. I love all of your great pictures too. 5*ing, faving & lensrolling - I think this lens will be a nice compliment to my own.

Thanks for stopping by to say hi, and for your help.

My sister JUST taught me the trick about putting the pomegranate in water to release the seeds without the mess. I'd avoided pomegranates for so long before that but that trick makes all the difference. They're allowed back in my house again. :) Nice job on this lens.
