Turtle, Bass and Mysterious Blob Caption Contest
There's a new module in town and it's perfect for people like us who love to take pictures. The Caption Contest Module allows users to enter all sorts of funny and clever captions for variety of pictures.
So if you like to write funny one-liners or even mini-stories about photos from nature, then you'll really like this lens. Come see who can write the best caption about this poor little turtle and also the mysterious blob that appeared in our pond. If you don't have time to write, then vote for the one that you think is the best.
Life in a pond can be challenging, especially for a little turtle.
Life in & around the pond is never boring.
Each day, after our morning walk, we stop at our 1/4 acre pond so that Al can feed the fish and other creatures. I usually have my camera handy as I walk around inspecting the plantings and blooms. Sometimes we get some good action shots with our Canon S5IS and sometimes we take pictures of things that are just strange looking.
Here are some shots that we took. See if you can add captions to them.
Little Turtle and Bread
This young Red-eared Slider was swimming around desperately trying to grab a piece of bread. What was little turtle thinking as it swam toward the bread?
Old Turtle
But from the depths comes.....
He's so close to the tasty morsel, but what's lurking below the surface? What would you say to the turtle?

Round 2 Begins
As the contestants prepare for round 2, what is going through their minds? Pick your contestant and tell us what they're saying to each other.
Slow and steady wins the race. That's what momma said. Maybe momma lied.
