Do I Need Pool Table Lights?

A pool room is just not a pool room without pool table lights. Pool table lighting has been around for years. Candles were the only source of light for at least two hundred years. Those affluent enough to have a pool table would put them in the highest room of the house to take advantage of the remaining sunlight in the early evening. Somewhere around 1846 a less expensive form of kerosene was invented, which made a huge difference in the source of light used until the light bulb was invented.

The pool lights used today are hung from the ceiling by chains directly above the middle of the pool table. They are lamps enclosed by a shade or shades depending on the style of the pool light and are attached to a long metal bar. When choosing a pool light for your table you will have a variety of lights to choose from.
