Pool Tables Are A Blast!

Pool Tables
A quality pool table is a delight to play on. Good cushions, felt, a level table, and plenty of room to play are all part of a quality pool-playing experience.Pool tables are made in three different lengths - 7, 8, and 9 feet. 7 and 8 footers are usually used in homes and bars while 9 footers are usually used in tournaments and pool halls. Many bars use the coin-operated type of tables instead of charging by the hour.
There are three basic parts to a pool table - the base, the slate, and the rail assembly. Usually, the heavier the table is made, the higher the quality and the longer it will last.
In the US, most tables are of the pocket billiards variety, meaning they have six pockets that the balls are shot into. In Europe the regular billiards table is more common. This is a table with no pockets where the balls are banked instead of dropped into holes.
