Historic Georgia Covered Bridge

Poole's Mill covered bridge is located in Poole's Mill park near Cummings, Georgia. It originally provided access across the creek to a grist mill. The mill has since burned down and the bridge is now a part of the 10 acre park in Forsyth county.

While visiting our daughter and her family in Atlanta, my husband and I took a drive to see the covered bridge. It was a beautiful autumn day and we enjoyed our drive in the country side and the visit to the park. The colors were beautiful on the trees and the still air enabled me to get some good photos of the reflections of the trees and bridge in the creek.

autumn reflections

The lattice type pattern near the top of the bridge gives you the perfect view to look up or down the creek. It was a beautiful autumn day when we visited Poole's Mill and I was able to capture the autumn colors reflected in the creek as I shot my photo through the lattice work slats.
