My Top 10 Favorite Andy Warhol Pop Art Prints

Ranked #8,511 in Home & Garden, #104,267 overall | Donates to Squidoo Charity Fund

My 10 favorites by Pop Artist Andy Warhol

Just for fun, a total 'eye candy' lens full of fabulous images. There is a reason behind each one, why I like it and what it means to me.

I love art of all sorts, and pop art is one of my favorites because the everyday images usually have some kind of meaning for me on a personal level.

Have you stopped to really look at some of these images? Do they bring back childhood memories? Maybe you're an artist and this form of art inspires you in some way.

Just have an open mind and browse. :)

#1 - Marilyn Monroe in Hot Pink

This one is my favorite!

I just love Marilyn, I think she is beautiful. That face. It even looks amazing all painted in 'out there' colors.

Even in a traditionally decorated room, this print somehow fits in. The pop of color and gorgeous person will make any room way more interesting.

#2 - Tomato Soup

My mom made Campbell's tomato soup for me when I was a kid.

So this one is totally nostalgic for me. Brings back fond memories of eating this soup with saltine crackers in an orange and yellow 70's kitchen at this little white Formica table.

To this day I love tomato soup with saltine crackers.

#3 - Mickey Mouse Pop Art

Classic.

Most kids dream of going to Disney World at least once in their life, and some people are total fanatics when it comes to Disney. I'm somewhere in the middle, I really enjoy taking my kids to see Mickey but don't necessarily dream of it...

At any rate, this is probably the only Mickey decor item I'd have in my house, Mr. Warhol just made it very cool.

What is Pop Art?

Regular, everyday, mundane things interpreted as the artist sees it. (Some people just don't get it.) But if you do, its fun and colorful and very cool.

#4 - Green Shoe

I love shoes!

This is a fabulous dressing room print, if you have a dressing room. Fancy shoes make great art subjects and this one is just funky enough.

Shoe, c.1955 (Green and Yellow)

#5 - Ten Marilyns

Yes, I like her.

So yes, I picked the pink Marilyn as my favorite but this conglomeration of colors is equally wonderful.

#6 - Cow

Farm animal pop art?

I've always dreamed of having my own farm and I'm not really sure how close I'll get to that dream, but I'm hanging on to it, and the cow image makes me want it more. This makes me smile, and isn't that what art should do? Make us hang onto our dreams and smile.

#7 - Blue Daisy

Simple pop art.

While I like flowers, I'm not a frilly girly girl with loads of blooms all over my home and this flower image is modern yet feminine and has that cool factor too.

Perfect.

#8 - Everybody should like everybody

Pop art with a message.

This is just good.

Everyone should have this hung on their front door. Would the world be a better place? Maybe, just maybe.
