Pop That Zit

How A Zit Forms
Your skin has thousands upon thousands of pores where sweat and oil come out from. Due to dust, your skin type, and other factors, the pores get blocked and not allowing the skin to "breathe". The inflamed or irritated skin becomes red and forms small red bumps which are called pimples.

The Right Time
All zits can be popped but you need to wait until the pimples are ready for popping. You should wait until the zit "ripens" or you'd just be subjecting yourself to pain and a really bad infection. A zit is ready to be popped when its at its biggest and when you see a pus-like formation covering the pimple's apex or top area.

Getting Ready
Making a zit pop is not just about squeezing out the pus and the pimple. Infections are common after a zit is popped so you have to follow some procedures to ensure that your zit popping is safe. Wihtout preparation, you could set yourself up for a bad infection on where your zit was or a scar from the pimple.

Stuff You Need
Some cotton balls, a sterilized needle, gauze, and antibiotic ointment are all you need to pop your zit. With the needle, gently prick the top of the pimple with the sterilized needle and squeeze out the pus. Once the pus is out (stop when blood or clear fluid comes out of the pimple), put some anitbitic ointment on it and cover it with a gauze.
