About Counterfeit Island

Counterfeit Island is a recently released island for the popular online game Poptropica. It is the tenth island released in the game, which is just over two years old. The last island to be released on Poptropica was Astro-Knights Island, which came out in June, 2009.

The new island is now available in Early Access preview, which means you need to buy an early access pass from the Poptropica Store to play it, or have 500 credits saved up from doing some of the other islands in the game. Once you get the pass, Counterfeit Island will be unlocked on your map and you can play!

Leading Up to Release

Here's what we know. There are a few screenshots on the Poptropica blog and you can read Comic Kid's adventures from the new island. Also there was a posting with some of the costumes that the people on the island wear. But really most of it will be a surprise. I guess we just need to wait a while.

Word of the new island began on November 9, 2009 when the Poptropica Creators revealed through a post by Comic Kid that a new island was being explored. Several screenshots have been posted with sneak peeks of Counterfeit Island. These hints have included things like:
