Poptropica Super Power Island Walkthrough

Getting Started

Here is a guide to Poptropica Super Power Island. OK, head on over to Super Power island. When you arrive, Just walk a bit to the right and walk into the Comic Shop. There you will find a dorky looking guy on the right-hand side of the store dressed like a nerd. Talk to him and ask if he has anything other than comic books. He gives you a book called The Superhero's Hanbook that he wrote. You keep the book in your inventory and can read it.

Go outside the comic shop and go to the next store on the right, the Masks and Capes shop. Find the guy on the left. He gives you a Super Hero ID card which identifies you as a superhero and counts all the villains that you have captured. On the other side of the shop is a row of mannequins that have different costumes on them. Click on them to pick your costume. You can use different parts from all the different costumes.

The next thing to do is to leave the Masks and Capes shop and head to the left. Go through the water and you will arrive on an island with a jail that has a green meteorite that crashed into it. Talk to the prison warden. Speak with him about the escaped villains and he will give you an item called the, Super Villain Files. You can look through these files to see all the bad guys that you need to apprehend. Then speak with the woman wearing the white coat and she gives you anti-power handcuffs, which can help you to get super-villains. Once you have those items, it's time to capture some super-villains! Go all the way to the right until you get to a sign that says Downtown. Click the sign to move to the next room. It's a short one. Walk to the right and then click on the next sign and you arrive at Main Street. Speak with the police standing near the bank and they will tell you that Copy Cat, one of the escaped prisoners, is hiding inside the bank.

Getting Copy Cat

Walk into the bank and walk to the left, where Copy Cat is standing. She will make a lot copies of herself and each one of the copies will hide in a different place in the bank. She will also drop a smoke grenade on the ground and you'll only have a short time to catch all her copies before you run out of fresh air. You have to capture all the copies of her before there's too much smoke in the bank. Just walk over each copy of her to make it go poof and disappear. You will need to jump up a little to capture all of the copies. Use the elevator on the far right to get to the upper level.

When you get to the last copy cat, you will capture her and you'll see a newspaper announcing her capture. Next you go back to the jail and she's where she belongs. Check out your Super Hero ID card and you now have a sticker showing one defeated villain. Let's go capture some more criminals!

Getting Speeding Spike

Return to Main Street and then go all of the way to the right till you can a subway sign. Click on the steps to go down into the tube Station. Talk to the police officials in the subway Station and they'll tell you they require help catching Speeding Spike. Go inside the train and then walk all of the way to the right, where you can see Speeding Spike holding a bag of money. Catching him is easy. Just keep leaping over him when he tries to hit you with the bag of money. He will keep moving to the left to different train automobiles and if you can keep getting him to miss you he will get so tired out that he sits down on the floor. When he does that, walk up to him to put on the cuffs and send him back to jail.

Capturing Sir Rebral

Go back all of the way to the right and this time go past the subway Station steps to get to the town Park. When you arrive, you will see that Sir Rebral is standing on top of a broken statue. When you go near him, you find out that he's's controlling rocks that fly up from the ground and follow you until they hit you. You want to position yourself so you can jump to avoid them they will still follow you and then get yourself on the other side of Sir Rebral so that the rocks hit him instead. This can make him annoyed and then parts of the ground will start turning up. The next step is to find the light gray rock that you can push. Move this rock on top of one of the places where the ground turns up so that the rock will fly up into the air and hit Sir Rebral. This will knock him down and stun him so that you can walk up to him and capture him with the handcuffs. You'll go back to the prison where you can see him safely in jail.

Finding Ratman

Return to the City Park and go inside the public restroom. There's a hole next to one of the toilets. Head down the hole and enter the sewer system. Go left and you will find a brown wheel. Click on it while standing on the platform beneath and the water will drain so that you move down. When it stops, go to the right till you're able to some platforms. Jump up those and you will find another wheel. Turn it to make the water rise again partway. Swim to the left till you find another wheel and the water will rise again. Go to the left one more time and you'll find a door that you can enter. Go thru the door and Ratman will be within. Jump up to the top right corner of the Sewer Room while keeping away from the rats, and you will spot a red wheel. Click on it to turn it, and it will sprinkle water over the Ratman and his flies. Ratman will be knocked out and the flies that are buzzing around him will start following you. If they touch you, you will get stung so you need to attempt to get to Ratman awfully fast. Click on him to handcuff him and send him back to jail.

Capturing Crusher

Now return to the Park and then Go all the way to the right side. You will see a sign for the Junkyard. Follow that sign to go in. When you arrive, you'll see Crusher up on top of a large junk pile. Talk to the cops there and they'll tell you they're unable to capture him. Good thing you're a mega Hero here to catch the bad guy again. To beat Crusher, you are going to tattempt to get past him twice. Go all the way to the right and get up on top of the oil barrels then leap onto the platform where he's standing and speed right past him. You'll get to a crane. Leap up the crane until you get to the cab at the top and click on it. Now drag the magnet control lever. The crane will drop a heavy refrigerator that will fall on Crusher. Unfortunately he recovers and then hurls it at you, smacking you back down. And now he's's really loony. You have to sneak past Crusher another time, but now he's hurling heavy oil barrels at you and they'll knock you down if you get hit. Try and get back to the crane another time without getting hit by the oil barrels as you go. When you get all of the way back to the taxi of the crane, click and drag the magnet lever again to turn it back on. Crusher will get picked up by the magnet and crushed into a flat pancake! You can then safely go down to where he is and put the handcuffs back on him. Crusher is returning to jail!

Defeat Betty Jetty

Head back to the main area and go over to the phone booth The phone will ring. Answer the phone and you will get a new superpower. It is the ability to fly! Click on the flght icon in the lower-left corner to fly up into the air.

Head to the Downtown area and fly up to the very top of the Skyscraper and then go up. Betty Jetty is standing up on top of the antenna. Betty taunts you and then flies away. Click on your flight power to activate it and fly after her. She will throw green energy balls at you. Every time you dodge them, you'll get a tiny bit closer to her and soon you will be close enough to capture her. You can easily dodge the green energy balls she throws by moving off screen each time they come near you.

Once you catch her, she taunts you again, and then Ned Noodlehead will appear and knock her down. Now you can place the handcuffs on her and she is captured and sent back to prison.

Get Your Reward

When you talk to the warden, he will say that he awarded the medallion to Ned Noodlehead because he captured Betty Jetty. You can get Ned to give it to you by first going to the hot dog vendor in City Pary. Speak with the vendor and he will give you a hot dog. Next go back to the comic book shop and speak with Ned Noodlehead. He will offer to trade you the medallion for a hot dog. Do the trade and you will complete this adventure. Congratulations!
