Poptropica vs Club Penguin - Or Should The Question Be Educational Or Fun Games, Which Do Kids Prefer?

My kids would choose fun, but as a parent, should I cast my vote for educational games. Here is the surprise answer, no - I think games should be for fun. There is inherent learning in everything kids do. But they also need time just to be kids. So, to the question here Poptropica vs Club Penguin - Which is better? And what about Moshi Monsters? I would have to vote for Club Penguin and Moshi Monsters, the game which are just for fun.

Besides isn't learning going on anyway. They play games, earn points, learn how to "budget" their points, and have to cooperate with other players. At our house, computer play time should be just that, play time.

What about you, have your say here - educational games or just for fun games - Poptropica vs Club Penguin - lets see where popular opinion lies.

since i ever played clubpenguin for 4 or more years, it sucks you know. usually members get clothes and lots of things. well i am a nonmember not a member.also at a event they get everything. no fair. i am really disappointed about clubpenguin. moshi monsters, nah, i have my own but kept dieing.i want to give it away though.Poptropica is the best one yet. we could change, buy, complete island, chit chat, add friends, and many more stuffs. Definitely Poptropica. With club penguin you can't DO ANYTHING! I like stratagey games and that's what poptropica is. But I also adore moshi monsters so poptropica and moshi monsters. And poptropica IS fun so it belongs to both sides I play for fun not for edu.

I say Poptropica it is fun educational it teaches you how yo keep a budget and Moshi Monsters does the same but I prefer Poptropica in this decision. And if ou are planning on buying your child memberhship poptropica is the better choice, because it is cheaper. For 3 months it is $10.00 for club penguin 1 month is $6.99

i would say that poptropica is good beacause it has all these sort a puzzels to finish an island and it has the ads for new stuff like movies ect.(like mirror mirror wich looks amazing btw)and club penguin well it takes time for the new catalog stuff and it takes time for the money but its fun beacause all the activity's(like puffle launch)soo i would say poptropica.

CLUB PENGUIN IS SO MUCH MORE ADDICTING! On Club Penguin you can chat with friends, throw igloo parties, play games and earn coins to buy furniture, puffles, or clothing, AND SO MUCH MORE! Club Penguin parties are also the best! There are a whole bunch of different parties that CP throws, such as Christmas parties, Halloween parties, April Fool's parties, Easter parties, Island parties, and you get to meet exclusive and famous CP characters and win a background and a stamp for meeting them. Characters include the Penguin Band, Cadence, Rockhopper, Gary, Aunt Arctic, Rookie, the Puffle Handler,and Sensei.     I choose poptropica club penguin's membership is out of plot. Club penguins membership is $6.99 just for a month. Poptropica has a way better deal it is $10.00 for THREE months !

    poptropica is for people who are 1-2 year olds and club penguin you can get stuff like you can change your accounts colour ,get money ,play loads of games,you can edit your igloo and decorate it ,you can get puffles,cuddly puffles in shops,fire dojo ,water dojo and ice dojo ( ice dojos coming in november 2011) and you can battle sensei and if you win you get to go to the ninja hideout,buy 1 month membership for 3 pounds,BOY BACKROUNDS,PINS AND COUNTRY ( THAT ARE PINS AND PUFFLES THAT ARE PINS! ) AND BOY PUFFLES FOR 800 COINS but in poptropica you can only play one game and its the helicopter one i tried it and its boring and you cant play anything else AND YOU CANT BUY PETS !poptropica is s word and club penguin is awsome! ha club penguin won against bin weevils and i bet that stupid poptropica gonna lose and poptropica is the worstest game in the world!! CLUB PENGUIN RULES!!!!!!!!

    Poptropica is very an exciting game. Why? Because you get to interact with people and friends. Plus you get to play adventure on different islands. And new islands always come!
