Canadian Rock Band

In 1980, the Canadian rock band, Loverboy which consisted of the powerful vocals of Mike Reno, lead guitarist Paul Dean, bassist Scott Smith, keyboardist Doug Johnson and drummer Matt Frenette, recorded introduced their first self-titled album and themselves to the world.

Loverboy quickly became one of America's and MTV's most popular rock bands. From 1980 through 1987 Loverboy had four multi-Platinum albums and numerous international Gold albums. Their tours sold out arenas and stadiums nationwide.

Their hit singles like The Kid Is Hot Tonite, Workin' For The Weekend, Turn Me Loose and Lovin' Every Minute Of It came one after another, and went on to become the rock anthems and party songs of an entire generation of rock fans.

Loverboy was inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame on Sunday, March 29, 2009.

    I used to listen to Loverboy in the 1980's. I know all the classic songs.

    I used to listen to Loverboy, really enjoyed them. Turn Me Loose was and is still my favorite. Will have to stay long enough the hear the rest of the song. Brings back old memories.
