Roulette a Crowd Favourite

Roulette is a favorite game of casino gamblers all over the world. The game has a lower house edge than many other games available, and is always exciting to play. For those visiting a casino, the visit isn't completed until the player has played at least a few rounds of roulette.

How the game of Roulette is Played

Odds of the wheel

The game of roulette is played with a spinning wheel and a small ball that is spun on that wheel. In addition to the wheel, there is a table that has red, black, and green numbers on it that correspond to the colors on the wheel. Roulette players make their wagers on the table's numbers, deciding what number or numbers the ball might land on. After the wagers are set, the wheel spins and the game begins. The players wait with excited anticipation to see where the ball will ultimately land.

When the ball has landed, the number it lands on decides the winner of the round. There are several different types of wagers that can be made in roulette, and for most of them the payout is big. If the player chose only one number for their wager, also called a straight-up bet, the winnings will be paid at a rate equal to 35 to 1. If the player chose two numbers, also known as a split wager, the payout is still a whopping 17 to 1.

If the player thinks the odds of one or two chosen numbers aren't worth playing, the player can pick more numbers for better odds. Wagering of three different numbers in one round has much better odds, but still has a great payout of 11 to 1.

If the player wants a still higher amount of numbers to play, playing chips at the corner of four different numbers gives players a payout of 8 to 1. To play on even more, players can place a street bet, meaning wagering on six numbers. This wager pays at a rate of 6 to 1. Some players want to increase their odds even further, opting for the column bet. This wager on 12 numbers give a player excellent odds of winning and pays out at a rate of 2 to 1.

Why Roulette is so Popular

High payour rates keeps players comming back.

Roulette is one of the only games that offer players the option of 1 to 1 odds. Players can place a bet on the ball simply landing on a red space or a black space. They can also wager that the ball will land on either an even or odd number, or on a high or low number. This makes wagering simple for beginning players, and even more advanced players enjoy the long playing time that this option provides.

The high payout rates of many roulette wagers bring people back to the game again and again. Most table games just don't offer the rates that roulette does, especially for relatively small wagers. Both beginners and expert players love roulette for that reason.

For players who want the full roulette experience, including the big wins that have made roulette famous, most players look for systems that will achieve that lofty goal. Most systems have moderate success but have their flaws. Visit Roulette Systems and Strategy for a free roulette system PDF and roulette system reviews.
