The Unique Work of Scottish Painter Jack Vettriano
I first saw Jack Vettriano's paintings as a poster reproduction in the mall. His painting "Singing Butler" caught my eye, and I stood outside the store and soaked up the painting. I enjoyed the romantic couple, dressed in their fine clothes, dancing on a beach. They danced as thought they were the only two people on earth, wrapped in each other, and without a care ... though the butler made sure a large umbrella reflected the rain from an impending storm.
So many interesting elements in this painting, and I especially loved the "formality" on the beach.
I later found out that the setting was his native Scotland, the coast of Fife. His most well-known painting is loved by millions of people. An elegant couple touched our hearts.
This lens is dedicated to Jack Vettriano's paintings - I'm sure you'll enjoy his diverse images all with a story to tell. Each one has its unique characters that tell only tell part of a story.
