What Does A Portable GPS Fish Finder Do?
Most experienced fishermen already know what a portable GPS fishfinder is and how to use it but if you're just beginning to fish as a hobby then you won't want to disregard this essential fishing tool.
Portable GPS Fish Finder electronics are similar to the GPS unit in your vehicle but they use sonar to locate fish. There are two basic parts to a portable fish finder - transducer and your display screen. Some models may include a mounting system. A portable fish finder can usually be used right out of the box unless otherwise stated.
The transducer sends out sonar signals and seeks activity in the water. When the transducer has found this activity it sends a message to the display screen. In advanced models, the display screen may also include coordinates to the location of the fish activity. While LCD screens are a popular option, if you want the best value then buy the color one as the fish activity is easier to see in color.

- I have to agree with DJLegend, I too use the Eagle CUDA 350 when I go out Bass FIshing, one of the greatest tools around. Fishing is a lot easier when you know there is a fish to actually catch instead of dropping your lure for 3 hours in empty water like I did a couple years back when I first started out, what a waste of time!
