The Comfort Zone Electric Portable Space Heater
Winter is right around the corner and the cost of heating our homes continues to climb. I no longer live in the frigid north-land, but I remember the cold. Twenty below zero is painfully cold and it takes a lot of energy to chase that kind of chill from a home.
While visiting my brother this summer I asked him how he was handling the ever- increasing cost of energy. He sat back with a grin on his face and said "It cost me less to heat my house last year than it did the year before."
Flabbergasted I asked him how?
"I bought a Comfort Zone Portable Space Heater. Instead of filling my gas tank three times over the course of the winter I only had to fill it once. I could turn the furnace down during the day and not worry about coming home to a house so cold that it took hours to warm up again. The Comfort Zone Portable Space Heater was one of the best investments I ever made."

This heater works great! I have 2 in my home, and they run only as needed. They key is to not put the thermostat sensor (little grate below the back filter) in areas that don't change temperature along with the rest of the room. If yours heats too long and then not enough, you probably have it up against something. Mine cycles great, I move it from my home office during the day to my bedroom at right. My dog sleeps in front of it, and my wife and I couldn't be more comfortable. I played with the delayed start, and it looks like you have to turn the unit off to set it. It's not a timer, it's delayed start. It tells the heater how long to wait before turning on so it won't keep running if you'll be gone for the day. Obviously if you try to make it do things it was never designed to do, you'll be frustrated. The owner's manual explains it pretty clearly.
Wow, I use 2 of these to heat my 1800 sq ft house. I haven't even needed to run my furnace, they work so great.
Cozy, quiet, and much cheaper than my main heating system. Couldn't be happier with my purchase.
I've had these for about 2 years and they've been very reliable and problem free. Money well spent.
Get it! You'll love it!
My Decision
A few years ago my husband and I added another room to the back of our house. Our sons needed a place to socialize (hang out), and we decided that we would rather have their friends "hanging out" at our house than the other way around.
We needed space.Unfortunately the room is not connected to the central heating system. The space heaters do the job but they suck up the energy. Our sons are still home, occasionally, but the room is now
my office/reading room. I hate running the space heaters. I know what they do to our electric bill. But the room gets so chilly that my plants die and I end up working at the kitchen table. The Comfort Zone Electric Portable Space Heater
it down, but not off. I won't have to move my plants into the kitchen and I can reclaim my personal space.Living in South Carolina I know the Comfort Zone Electric Portable Space Heater

- This sounds like an awesome heater. I wish I could get one for our basement room and turn that room in to my craft room. Oh wouldn't hubby kill me though if he had to move my craft desk again!

- Good info. Personally, I'm partial to the Dr. Heater DR-968 Infrared Heater myself (own quite a few them actually), but the Comfort Zone heaters aren't bad either. I love how quiet they are, and the construction quality is excellent. As a self-professed heater expert (modesty was never my strong suit), I definitely recommend them to anybody looking for a good space heater to help them stay warm this winter. I've written a review of this heater as well as many others on my site best infrared heater reviews, so check it out and don't be afraid to leave me some feedback and/or suggestions on how I can improve my site.
