Portable Appliance Testing
Electrical Safety at Work is Your Responsibility
From IT equipment to microwaves, the testing carried out should meet the exacting requirements of the IEE code of practice for In-Service Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment.
It makes sense to find testers with all the the latest computerised PAT (Portable Appliance Testing) equipment and are able to test all portable appliances in your company.
Once testing is complete, you will need to get a Safety Certificate and a detailed report on each individual item. All appliances that pass the inspection & testing should be labeled with a safety sticker and a unique barcode number so that all portable appliances in your company can be tracked and kept up to date in the future.
To find a good PAT Testing company, just do what I did: I googled "PAT Testing in Manchester" to find a list of good companies on the web. Easy.
