Valentine's Day is a special day for our whole family. I make a special dinner where everything is heart-shaped or pink. (One year I made pink mashed potatoes!) My husband and I exchange gifts but I also get something little for each of the kids. Valentine's Day shouldn't just be for adults. Thanks for sharing all the wonderful ideas!

Lovely page. I know families are looking for ways to celebrate together. We had a chocolate fondue on New Year's Eve which caused me to create my lens called The Best-Ever Chocolate Fondue. That is a great family activity. You could even do candles and soft music with kids...

One fun thing we did: I had my oldest 2 kiddos select a doable menu. Then they decorated the table, cooked dinner, then dressed up and served my hubby and I a romantic dinner at home. The kids ate in the kitchen because they were the "staff". We all had a WONDERFUL time!

Congratulations on lens of the day. I also have one son, who is 8, he loves all the holidays. We always try to make homemade cards for all the grandparents.
  • norm_rogers Feb 9, 2007 @ 3:52 pm | delete
Nice lens, Jen. But since all my kids are out of the nest, I looked at your other lens, "for him and her". My wife loves that spa stuff. Time to get shopping.

    Hi Jen!

Congrats on your lense of the day! It is a thrill isn't it, I enjoyed my moment of fame a couple days ago :-)

My children are grown, and I miss doing those fun kid things around the holidays...guess I should be doing them anyway, being a kid at "heart" :-)
