Agrigento Sicily Poster

One of Agrigento's ancient Greek temples on this stunning poster

Touring through Agrigento, Sicily, you'd swear you were actually in ancient Greece. The Doric columns, the elongated depth of the temples, and the Hellenistic feel of the region known as the Valley of the Temples are not just a coincidence. The Agrigento, Sicily area was inhabited by the Greeks as early as 582 BCE. Over the years, a many more influences overtook this southern coastal area of Sicily, but many of the temples are still here to this day. In the poster to the right, you can see an example of one of these temples of worship, surrounded by some spring flowers.

    You have put together a lovely selection of posters here. Not sure which one I like best, but the parthenon with the yellow flowers is certainly nice, as are the ones of Venice and the colliseum.
