I love Post-It's. Is that weird?

Post-It's are one of the best inventions of our time.

How could you not love them? The stick to stuff, and come off! They come in all shapes, sizes, and colors! You can make thousands of lists, take notes, write reminders, leave messages - all on the same little pack of sticky paper!

This Lens will teach you all the great ways you can use Post-It's to make your life and business better, all the new Post-It stuff you can get at your local office supply, and more weird Post-It lore.

Wow, I'm getting a lot of traffic and comments to this page -- you all are obsessed with Post-It's and sticky notes also! If you have a great use for Post-It's, don't forget to leave it in the Plexo List below!

There's a new contest on Post-Its called Sophie Smarts, check it out at http://www.sophiesspace.com/sophiestuff.aspx?b=3M

My Latest Post-It Note Use: Write a Book

I'm current writing a book using Post-It Sticky Notes.

Step One: Buy some Super-Sticky Post-It Notes and big poster-size Post-It paper.

Step Two: Find a big peice of wall. I used my garage door, since I loved the idea of writing my book out in the fresh air and sunlight.

Step Two: Start writing ideas that you want to cover on the Post-It notes, and stick them on the wall. After you get a few, start putting them in loose categories.

Step Three: Put up a peice of the poster-size Post It paper up for each category (which will be your chapters). Label each with a Post-It for the draft chapter title.

Step Four: Complete your brain dump, with each topic, subtopic, and idea or point on a Post It note, and put them into categories.

Step Five: Review your work, and continue to categorize, and organize them into subtopics and topics.

Step Six: "Talk" your book. Record yourself talking through all your chapters/subtopics/points. About 24 minutes per chapter will work out to a good 9-11 chapter, 200-250 page book.

Step Seven: Have your recordings transcribed or transcribe them yourself. Now you have a first draft - yay!

Using Sticky Notes to Keep Your Toddler Amused

I needed to pick up a few things from the office supply store, but had my 2-year old Grace with me. Not always the best shopper, especially at a (boring) office supply store.

I let Grace pick out some store brand sticky notes in the shape of a flower. She thought they were amazing, a special "prize," and spent the ride home decorating the back seat & window with her new treasures. Wonderful!

What do you think? How do you use Post-It's? Am I crazy?
