People Have The Weirdest Secrets
Everyone has a secret. There are all kinds of secrets - scary, happy, sad, threatening. Something you wouldn't tell your closest friend, or your mom, or sometimes even yourself.
So you write your most awful, painful or gleeful secret on a postcard, and you send it to a total stranger - this Frank Warren - and he puts it on his blog for all the world to see. And maybe the secret starts weighing less on your heart and mind...
He updates the blog every Sunday - puts in the new secrets that arrive in a week. Postcard authors remain secret, but their secrets become an art exhibit.
The blog is addictive to read - it's a blessing that it's updated only once a week. Then there are these four books full of secrets (made of postcard images), and he's probably going to keep publishing new ones.
Is your secret in one of them? Is that why you want to buy that book? Or are you just addicted to that blog, as I am?

This is a pretty accurate view of what those secrets look like on Postsecret.
I'm not sure if these pictures were ever actually sent to (or lifted from) Postsecret, but they look like they could be there.
Also browsing Flickr for "postsecret" could be useful if you can't wait for Sunday to get more secrets.
The Postsecret Blog
Too bad you can only see this week's secrets - the ones you missed you can only find in books. The bright side of that is, you get to buy the books of secrets.
Then you're able to view any old secret you want, whenever you want.

Postsecret Books on Amazon
If you have a really spooky secret that nobody else has, and you are able to put it in a few well-selected words, and write them on an originally made, apt postcard, you just might see your secret in one of those books someday.
Nobody will know the secret is yours, so you'll still be safe! Unless you purchase the book and brag, and show it off to all your friends, that is.

postsecret is an amazing idea and I love some of the clever graphics that people create to reveal their darkest admissions. Your lens is really interesting. 5* Posted August 30, 2007 |

I enjoyed postsecret when I first saw it some months ago, but I did not become addicted. Back then it seemed that most of the post cards were either scary or sad. Posted June 28, 2007 |
