I adore pigs. I could just watch TV with them or play little games with them for hours. They are fabulous creatures.

I loved Charlotte's Web, so piggies have always seemed like pet material to me, but we've never taken one on; I wouldn't want one as a house pet, but as an outdoor pet. Fun lens!

I have a 7 day old pot belly pig. He is very loyal and playful. He literally thinks I have to hold him every minute of every day. He loves to eat from his bottle and then gives lots of little piggy kisses. He loves both me and my husband the same (so far) but with me being a stay at home mom, I do get to spend more time with him. His name is Wilber PorkChop H. He is a inside pet and gets along great with our toy Pomeranian. Our dog keeps his face clean after he finishes his bottle feedings. Our little piggy is puppy pad trained and hes the perfect new addition to our family. These pets require a lot of attention especially if you want them as an inside pet. Good-luck to anyone consider adding one to their family.

I have had 3 of them they are so much fun! how we ended up with them is people not understanding them and then wanting to just get rid of them. people need to know what they are getting into with any animal before getting one and making sure its the perfect fit for there family! great job on your lens!

I have a 1 year old male piggy, his name is Webster. He is my baby, I have raised him since he was about 3 weeks old and I literally feel like a mother. Within the past few months, he has started to charge at my boyfriend of 2 years (he's been around his whole life) and pretty much anyone who goes in my room (Webster shares my room with me most of the time, but he also gets to roam the house and backyard.) But he has just been very aggressive and territorial, I will definitely be purchasing this ebook to see what I can do to help him. It is so difficult to find information on potbeliies, believe me, I did a ton of research before I got him, but it still wasn't enough, I didn't know it would be so difficult to raise him, I hope this book will help!!!!

I think the book will really help you out - it's excellent, but territory is a big deal to potbelly pigs. It seems like there could be some things that you could do now to help. I'm not sure that it's healthy to have any animal in your bedroom in all honesty. Even with dogs this can make them VERY territorial. You'll probably find that you will need to take certain steps to distance yourself from him just a bit, and he also needs to see that you value other people in your life and he needs to show them the same respect.

Also, agreed -- there really isn't enough knowledge on the web about these little critters, but good job on doing the proper research against the odds :)

I just got a male, 8 weeks old, and have had him for about 2 days but he is still scared and trys to run when we try to pet or touch him, I was wondering how long it takes to calm them down? I just love him but would appreciate any help you could give. Thanks

The advice you give in this lens is informative and well written, but a couple of the links concern me.

Hi, I just saw this. Not sure what links you are talking about? there are Amazon links which are always really long.

I have two pigs. One lives in a small pen at night but roams all day, Our other pig has a pen about 1/4 acre. They have been doing well until yesterday when the roaming pig broke into the other's pen and a fight started and he did it today. They are 6 yrs and 2 years old and never bothered each other.... any ideas what is going on

Pigs seem to do much better when raised with each other. Because the interesting thing is that the pig who was the aggressor, was actually the one with the most territory. Who was the older of the two? I'm no "pig whisperer" so to speak, but I'll ask a friend who might have some ideas. You can also try a forum or two. There are a couple of pig forums I believe where you will probably get answers - hope this helps.

I just got a pig today and he is kind of scared but not really. It was 9 pm and I wanted to check up on him to see how he was doing in his new enviroment. He was really happy when I came to see him! He was born on easter sunday and loves to be petted, but I wanted to teach him some tricks after he bonds with me and learns to trust me. I can't find any website that shows or tells me how to train the pig to sit. His name is Ollie and I am showing him in the fair!

Goodness! I never thought of having a Potbelly Pig as a pet! I've seen them at the county fair, but never inside someone's house. Quite a thought!
