Potty Training Toddlers - What About the Potty Chair?
There is no set rule when it comes to buying a potty chair other then the number one rule is you MUST have a potty chair to assist in your efforts of potty training toddlers. When you go shopping for your potty chair I think it is a great idea to take your child along with you. It's important for your child to be a part of the buying process, and letting them help pick out a potty chair makes it feel more like it belongs to them, which will really help when the time comes for them to sit on it.You want to pick a potty chair that is within in your budget, and meets all your needs. Our potty chair had the feature of switching to a stool so that when our children were big enough to use the big potty, it helped them climb up to it. I also recommend choosing one that has a good back support, which will help keep your child sitting up and making it a lot easier for them to use the bathroom. Other than that it's up to you.

Potty Training Toddlers - How to Know When They are Ready
I know you are ready to stop buying diapers, but you need to ask yourself if you are ready for the challenge ahead. The important thing to remember is that this challenge can take less than a week, so it's not going to last forever. Potty training toddlers can be very easy as long as the toddler is ready for the change.I have found that most parents begin the potty training process between 18 and 36 months, but age isn't really a good factor to tell whether or not your toddler is ready for potty training. You need to make sure your toddler has some form of bladder control before you attempt to potty train them. Make sure they can keep a dry diaper for a couple of hours before taking on this task.
You also want to look for signs that your toddler understands the process. A good way to tell is if they tell you when they are wet or poopy, or insist on being changed right away after going in their diaper. You will also find that some toddlers find an interest in going to the potty and may even request to go, and maybe show an interest in getting rid of their diapers.
You never want to force your toddler to use the potty, they need to be willing to go. When they start showing signs that they are ready to use the potty is when you can start taking them, you never want to push them and make them do something that they are physiologically not ready to do.
In closing just know that potty training toddlers does not have to be a big challenge, just make sure you and your child are ready. There is a great program that assists you in this process, read more about it at www.PottyTrainingToddlers.YourTimeToday.com
