Dakota today can be left for hours with full run of the house, no pee, no poop, no chewing, she is totally AWESOME. If she can do it, most any dog can do it! Now we've got two. We adopted another rescue and after one year with us, both dogs have full run of the house together and we don't worry at all. So incredibly proud of these dogs :-)

Touching story! I can relate to what you have gone through! It took me 7 years to find a solution to my dog's indoor pee!

Chris, I hope you keep us posted. We were successful with our Dakota and I cannot remember the last time she peed in the house. We can even play hard with her and she won't pee anymore. Took a lot of work but it was soooo worth it!

Wow, i thought my problem dog was bad. (her name is even Dakota!) We got her on her last day on earth (I just couldn't let them put her down) and she has trouble when she is stressed or excited. Also at night or if she is left home alone. You can tell she was badly abused at one point as well which makes things difficult at times. She scares at the tiniest things. I was happy when my husband sent me this article. We are going to try this and I will post in how it goes!

Great site, thanks for the information. I respect anyone who takes an older dog in with any kind of problem, and trains them.
