A Ghost Adventures Episode Favorite - Poveglia Island
Off the coast of Venice, Italy is one of the most legendary, darkest and scariest places on earth. Legend has it that the island was formed from the ashes of burned plague victims, criminals and mental patients who were sent there to meet their death. The island has a rich and unique history.
As a lover of history and the paranormal, the Ghost Adventures visit to Poveglia intrigued me. If that episode is not clear evidence of the existence of the paranormal, than I don't know what is. This page is a tribute to the Ghost Adventures Poveglia Island Episode on The Travel Channel. Next to their original documentary film, this has been my absolute favorite episode so far.

Ghosts Shaking In Their Boots
Zak Proves That Ghosts Are Just As Scared As We Are
These old doctors masks are creepy. They served a purpose, but wow. Anyone on the brink of death would freak with some hooded guy wearing this mask carrying a smoking incense "urn" of sorts. It is a creepy part of plague history.
The doctor would wear a bird mask, the 'beak' would have been filled with aromatic herbs or flowers as they believed the plague floated in the air in 'clouds'
Zak proved that wearing this type of mask freaked the spirits out even after death, causing a mist to create running footstep sounds and knocking over some light equipment
