Power Grid Quick Tips

I'm going to add a few of my Power Grid Game tips here. Feel free to add any of your own as well!

  • Watch what resources your competitors require to run their plants. You can make up ground if you are able to control a tight resource market or tap one that has no competition.

  • The Power Plants that don't require resources to run (i.e. windmills etc.) usually pay for themselves within a turn or two. However, don't fall in love with them at the expense of limiting your total power generating capacity.

  • Power Grid comes down to two key things - Cash flow and Power Generating Capacity. If you are generating the most cash each turn and have the ability to power more cities than any of your competitors, you can spend cash on less efficient things in order to protect your lead.
