Power of Prayer

No one could give you a better explanation than Seren Kierkegeard, the well known Danish philosopher and theologian who said that an individual who prays his Lord is not giving any transformation to the God, but it transforms him, one who prays sincerely. The Tranquility, power to connect to oneself, and taking home better qualities could only come through a sincere prayer.

A prayer is a time to bond with the everlasting power within ourselves: for those who accept as true, it is God: for those who don't, it is one's soul. A relaxed way to sit or stand and simply talk to that power - like one does with a family member - is all you need to do. You can speak about your day, things you love to do, communicate your fears, and seek way outs.

One promising reason to pray could be to thank God for all fine things in life. And since we are all talking about involving to the power we can't see but definitely can feel, it is compulsory that we be quiet.

Prayer is an energy as real as terrestrial gravity. A patient, who has a chronic disease, after all other therapy has failed, lifted out of his disease and melancholy by the peaceful effort of prayer. It is the only power in the earth that seems to defeat the so called 'laws of nature," the circumstances on which prayer has significantly done this have been termed 'miracles'. But a stable, quieter miracle takes place hourly in the hearts of men and women who have revealed that prayer supplies them with a balanced flow of sustaining power in their daily lives.

Too many people view prayer as a formalized custom of words, a refuge for weaklings, or a childish request for material things. We sadly underestimate prayer when we imagine it in these terms, just as we should under assess rain by describing it as something that fills the birdbath in our grounds. Most likely understood, prayer is a mature activity obligatory to the fullest growth of personality - the crucial integration of man's highest faculties. Only in prayer do we attain that total and harmonious congregation of body, mind and spirit which gives the delicate human reed its unshakable strength.

If you make a routine of sincere prayer, your life will be very evidently and profoundly changed. Prayer stamps with its permanent mark our actions and character. A harmony of bearing, a facial and bodily response is pragmatic in those whose inner lives are thus enhanced. Within the depths of consciousness a flame provokes. And man witness himself. He realizes his selfishness, his stupid pride, his fears, his greed, his mistakes. He builds up a sense of moral responsibility, rational humility. Thus begins a voyage of the soul towards the kingdom of grace.
