- If you are going to pressure wash cars, boats, or other around the house surfaces you might choose a light to medium duty cold water unit. If you are going to be pressure washing grease, oil, or other such compounds you would want a hot water pressure washer.

Be sure that you are using powerwasher approved cleaning solution as others might end up damaging the paintwork on your vehicle. Work on small sections at a time. Start spraying at the distance of 3-4 feet and use a 25-degree angle to reduce damage arising out of sudden high pressure bursts.Use overlapping movements and clean the car starting from the bottom upward. Some spots may be more difficult to clean and do not forget to do the bottom of your car as well. Use an angle extension if necessary. Rinse the car with the clean water after the wash. This time around start at the top and work your way down until the whole vehicle is detergent free.
