Laugh Yourself to Death... by PowerPoint!
Folks sometimes get irritated when they talks about PowerPoint. Death by bullet point, death by PowerPoint, PowerPoint Road Kill -- when in fact, bad presentations existed long before the debut of Microsoft's ubiquitous slideware program.
So why not take a lighter look at the presentation program everyone loves to hate? What humor can you find in PowerPoint presentation -- even the stinky ones?

Don McMillan Classic PowerPoint Humor
This classic video from Don McMillan has been making the internet rounds for years. It's a must-watch for those who love to hate PowerPoint! I heard a radio interview with Mr. McMillan, where he noted that he has performed this stand-up routine to tech & business crowds -- and audience members often come up to him after the show and ask for his deck! When he won't give it to them, they get annoyed -- as if it wasn't really funny if they can't review the slides after his show!
Intentionally Funny PowerPoint.
When you're actually trying to be humorous.
Some presentations are meant to be funny. The presenter takes great pains to provide you with funny pictures, visuals, graphics, jokes, or stories. Sometimes, you'll see terrific comic book style PowerPoint presentations that may make you smile, laugh, roll your eyes, think -- or just groan!
- Why Dogs Hate Halloween
- Why do folks like to dress up their dogs on Halloweens? They look so unhappy in these costumes. Worse, why do we like to take pictures of these miserable dogs, insert them into PowerPoint, upload them to the internet, and laugh at their misery? It's a mystery.
- Market Meltdown - Famous Logos Redesigned
- It's funny, in a sad kind of way. The author redesigns logos of troubled companies in these hard economic times.
- Cute and Funny Animals
- When you photoshop animals into unlikely scenarios, hilarity ensues. Kind of.
- Downloadable, Frequently Emailed PowerPoint
- Ah, remember all those hilarious photos and jokes you received in email missives in the 1990's? Well, many of these now cliched images have been packaged into PowerPoint presentations -- for your downloading pleasure. Seriously. It's kind of like a Time/Life offer of all the cheesy classics. Only different.
- PowerPoint Humor in Uniform
- Military humor escapes me. But PowerPoint is a frequently wielded weapon in the US armed forces, so they make fun of PowerPoint in their own unique, bureaucratic way.
- Online PowerPoint Humor Collections
- Remember: humor is subjective. Sometimes, it's time sensitive (what was funny in the 1920's may not amuse you today.) It's frequently cultural or subcultural (I don't get military humor. Hawks may not dig hippy humor.) At some point in history, some subcultures found this online PowerPoint collection highly amusing.

Unintentionally Funny PowerPoint
Oh, it's funny all right. But not because you want it to be.
Sometimes presentations are funny -- but they aren't meant to be! Something ridiculous happens on-stage. Somebody starts droning on and on -- and an audience member is reduced to hysterical giggles. Graphics are so bad, people actually start laughing. Folks start playing "Buzzword Bingo" during a particularly dull presentation. How else can a presentation be unintentionally funny?Presentation Horror Stories
